5-0 lead and you pull that ****? This team has no business being buyers.

I know it's only been half a season, but does anyone else feel like Bannister just isn't the guy? Your team has been struggling to score runs, and they put up a 5 spot. You starter goes out, clearly doesn't have command, and completely blows that lead without getting a single out, yet you wait till the lead is completely gone before making a move. That's got to be demoralizing for the team. Too bad we didn't try to get Joe Maddon.

I think if Banister was our manager 5 years ago we would have 2 World Series rings. Beats the hell out of Wash if you ask me

I just don't get the sense that he has a really good feel for his ball club, and it felt like Wash usually had a good pulse on what was going on. I'll admit, Wash made some bone headed decisions, but at least he made decisions. Bannister seems to only make the decision when there's no other choice and you have to do it, especially when it comes to leaving pitchers in too long when they're struggling.

It was one cliche after another. "These guys live to play the game", "we will have accountability", "take it one game at a time", "develop a leadership council", etc...just a bunch of empty words and anybody could see that...

No, our pitching has cost us this game

The pitching wasn't great but that play is what turned the inning. It's 5-1 with 2 outs and a runner in 3rd at that point.

I thought Bogar should've gotten a shot. The team closed the year pretty strong with him at the helm.

And yet the Rangers want to trade top prospects for Cole Hamels.

Who despite his no-no his last game is 23-30 since 2013.

I know the Phillies have been bad, but so are the White Sox, yet Sale wins his games.

Jon the Moron has run what could have been a strong team in a top market into something between Montgomery Ward and K-Mart.

Banister is generic, but so are almost all managers. This mess is 100% on JD. Total piece of dog**** staff and bullpen. I can at least stomach an injury excuse on the atarters, but the bullpen situation was inexcusable. It was almost like they forgot they need one. Then there are terrible albatross contracts in the field. Then there is the overly lefty skewed lineup. I don't know what the plan is for this organization, but I could have put a better one together on the back of a napkin from one of the Arlington buck naked clubs. I can't believe they are entertaining the idea of trading for Hamels so that he can come be below .500 for a different bad team.

The toughness in the entire organization left with Nolan.

I think trading for Hamels, or any player for that matter... is foolish unless it includes one of our Left handers.

Getting rid of Alfaro or Chi Chi or any SP doesn't help us ANY. When Philly announced they wanted best-and-final tomorrow, that is where I pull all offers off the table. I don't get into bidding wars for players. He had one good game in the past 3, and someone is too foolish to overpay.

Pull the plug. Let Philly contend for what they can. We aren't running a charity. If we haven't been able to make a deal in the past 2 years for him, then it isn't a trade to be had. The quote was "If we could have made a trade for Hamels, it would have already been done."

As for Bannister... he has demonstrated he is serviceable. Generic. Mediocre. Serviceable. He has shown nothing more than he is gritty and he can get his players to come-back... some times. Other than Kela, I can't think of a single player that has done well this year, based on expectations. I'll give you Moreland, as well.

JD has failed to get this team what it needed. Sometimes you can't help ending up with too many left-handed bats... or right-handed RPs. But JD has done nothing to address that and his biggest move appears to be a SP for a lot of money.

Martin Perez and Matt Harrison will have some bumps along this season. They will have to determine if both make the rotation in 2016, but that won't come for many months.

I think Holland is going to start his rehab, if he hasn't already. I think Gallardo ends up in the NL for 2016. We will have as many, if not more questions for the rotation in 2016.

Unless something drastic happens, I can see this team continue to be mediocre and JD will eventually be held accountable. Money tied up for injured players, along with Choo and Andrus not performing, will keep JD from being able to improve this team.

After the trade deadline there will need to be some moves made. Wandy and Scheppers need to be released.

Your team is never as bad as they look in a blowout, and never as good as they look in victory.

I spend more time than I should.

There are a couple sites that help.

COTS for one. They have contract information.

I spend time looking at the Rangers minors. I go each of their websites like 3 times a week. Scott Lucas does a great job keeping up with daily information on results. He also has that day's starters for the minors. I check his posts to see if anyone is pitching that I'm interested in.

Around the trade deadline, I spend more time, as well.

Baseball is a passion and I'd rather watch a good baseball game, than a movie or playing golf.

I started reading boxscores when I was in 2nd grade and have done so ever since.

JD didn't just fall into an overly lefty situation. An offseason in which his 2 biggest acquisitons (committing major resources) were two lefty bats, while also knowing that Mitch and Leonys were going to be key components to his lineup just makes the Choo deal reek even worse. Just dumb dumb dumb dumb.

Josh is really the only lefty he's semi fallen into, and that's more because JD has spent two straight seasons with no answer for left field.

JD better be sending out "never mind" texts to the selling clubs.
