That's one thing I haven't heard anything on yet this Spring. How is Hinch handling the job and how are the players responding to him?
From what little I have seen, I like him. Really seemed engaged with the mound visit. Porter always seemed lifeless up there.

Grossman has been having a pretty good spring training, right? Any chance we see him back in the lineup at the beginning of the season?
I think it still depends on Singleton. If he's your 1st basemen, than you cant keep some of the other hitters out of the lineup, and LF is the only place they could play.
If not, then I think we see a possible 4 man rotation of Rasmus, Marisnick, Grossman, and Presley in CF and LF.

IMO I think we go with Rasmus and Marisnick in the outfield with Grossman coming off the bench. Presley should be a AAA player and we really have no use for him.
Until Grossman gets up to the big leagues and doesn't do ish.
Grossman is a waste of air against any team besides the Rangers. He kills the Rangers for some reason.
I really like Marisnick and think he would be great as a utility/off the bench guy. Same as Presley. Seems like these boys are having fun this spring. Can't wait for opening day...

I haven't paid much attention to Hernandez/Carmona, has he been pitching well? Is there a chance he sticks?

Not making a good showing so far. In three games he's given up 9 hits, 5 runs, 4 walks and only two strike outs in 8 innings. Though he is 2-0 some how. Who knows?
Well if those are his numbers he won't be with the team after next week. Its always worth it to give these washed up guys a look because you just never know who has one more year in him.
Yeah, I say cut him...maybe the Rangers will pick him up!

4/5 Obie, Wojo Straily
Obie is sidelined with a lat strain which will no doubt cost him some time. Straily could easily fall in there with Wojo and have Obie ready if one of them falters.

From what I've read, it's possible Obie will be ready to pitch in the first rotation. I wouldn't hold my breath though. If he is, I'd guess Wojo will temporarily be in the starting 5

When does Peacock return? May 1, or later? There is a good chance his spot is taken when he comes back. I've always felt like he was more of a set up guy anyway. Maybe a 7th inning guy.

Feel bad for the kid, but I feel like he thought the Astros were out to get him. Apparently the Astros were right...just sucks seeing this at such a young age. But that's life. Whoever his agent was should be fired on the spot. Passed up 5 mil for nothing...no team is going to touch him now.
Rex Jones is retiring after this year. Need to get him a ring.
