The Astros improvement is evident, tho...Singleton, Altuve, and Springer are first division talents and the pitching is much improved. Kind of cool to see Luhnows much maligned plan going decently so far plus Bo Porter is easy to root for.

I think it's funny to see a fanbase whose stadium has been empty for years, who drew a 0.0 rating, and who has not been on tv in most of their home market for years (and no one seems to really care that much) casting any sort of super fandom stones.

You want a diehard fan? I'm taking the family out tonight to watch this mess in person.

AL West could be stacked the next few years. Oakland winning just because that's what Oakland does, Moreno and the Angels will continue to spend, as will the Rangers. Mariners getting better, Astros with a ton of young talent.

And how is that the fans fault? We've been lobbying for 3 years to get them on tv. I would argue that the facts you mentioned mean that we are super fans because we've had to endure all this **** plus a complete franchise overhaul. There's always room on the wagon if you decide to see the light, Danny.

Jesus ****ing Football, this *****ing is exactly what I was afraid of when the Astros moved to the AL. Please do not turn this board in to basketball other. Attendance will always be higher, TV ratings will always be better and discussions will always be more active when your team is doing well. That is universal across sports and teams. It is more fun when you win. The last couple of years should prove that Astros fans have no room to call any Rangers fans bandwagoners. Attendance is about to tank in Arlington, so no real room to talk there for us either.

I really enjoy this board, please do not turn every thread in to the same old ****.

I've caught a few Astros games since my brother moved to Houston but I've yet to see anything close to what I would call a "crowd". MMP is the only sports venue I've ever been in where I could hear stranger's conversations around me from several rows/seats away.

Say whatever you want about Rangers fans but we're still selling 30K seats weekdays with temps in the mid 90's at first pitch.

Here's the link where I pulled that attendance # but yeah, it looks like less. Especially when they're doing the pre-game shots on the east side where the sun is still on the seats.

It's 30k currently for sure. The heat and losing, however, could change that.

We covered this. Going from 10-15 posts on a game thread to 2-3 posts doesn't reflect a lack of following, it shows a lack of anything to really comment about.

I don't really know why us or Rangers fans would talk sh*t about the other, in 105 combined years of baseball, the Astros and Rangers have exactly 0 World Series titles.

I don't post much on this forum any more. Have had other stuff going on, and as someone pointed out, since the Houston move to the AL, most Rangers threads end up devolving into the Dallas vs. Houston schtick, it seems. That gets really old real fast. I don't read the Astros threads, so I don't know if that's the case there or not.

I still watch most every game on TV. Haven't been out to the park this year, but that has more to do with other things than how bad the team is. That does factor in a bit, though, of course.

We CAN'T watch on tv so we follow on radio or apps. I go to as many games as possible but can't fill up every seat. So the fact that most of us are still claiming/defending the Astros means we are super fans. Kind of like y'all were super fans when the Rangers were crap before 2010. Oh, wait...yeah y'all were all Yankees super fans back then.
