Yep. I wasn't really excited with Santana being called up. I know why they did it, but I wasn't a fan.

Was I excited to watch him, sure. And I was hoping he would come up and show off, but alas, no dice.

Not big news, but we made a minor league trade today:

The Astros have traded pitcher Alex Sogard to the Diamondbacks, MLB Daily Dish’s Chris Cotillo tweets. The Astros will receive minor-league infielder Cesar Carrasco in return. Sogard, 26, has pitched 43 1/3 innings for Double-A Corpus Christi this season, with 5.2 K/9 and 4.2 BB/9.

They flew him to Houston for his physical and to sign, but the ligament issue popped up so it's back to the negotiating table.

#2 overall pick next year. I'm truly surprised he didn't go through an extensive physical pre draft like the nfl does

But what they lose this year would be the slot money for the 1.1 in 2014, so they would lose Jacob Nix who has agreed to money that was going to be there if they sign Aiken.


So it would hurt.
