So they Angels sign FA from Cardinals and Rangers..who gets their 1st rd draft pick and what happens to the team that doesnt get ehe pick????

Cardinals get their first, Rangers get their second rounder. Both teams get supplemental first rounders.

I was going to post the same question. Since Albert was the higher Type A free agent, Cardinals may get the first round and we get the second round. I think we both get comp selections.

Not sure if this is the right answer.

When Angels signed CJ, Texas was set to receive their 1st round pick (19th overall).

When they signed Pujols, Texas got bumped and now receives their 2nd round (likely 70ish overall) pick.

They'll get a sandwich pick between the 1st and the 2nd round, but they were going to receive that no matter what if CJ signed elsewhere.
