Texas-my home stadium, 25+ games per year, so its naturally my favorite but we wont count it.

New York (old stadium)-great stadium, got the goosebumps just walking into the place. However, it was September of the last year in the stadium and the Yankees postseason hopes were slim, so it was alot more of a tourist atmosphere.

San Francisco-Went in August 2010, definitely the nicest stadium I've been to. The night I went happened to be the anniversary of Jerry Garcia's death and it was bobblehead night. The weirdos were out in full force, and I left with a scent of marijuana on my clothes, not even kidding.

Oakland-Garbage, went just because the Rangers were there when we were in the area. I sat on the first row right on the field and with all that foul territory the field still seemed a mile away.

Tampa-Garbage too, not a good place for baseball at all. Found a dead bat (the flying kind) in the bathroom reminding me of being home at Kyle Field

Atlanta-Good stadium, has all the basics, nothing really special about it. The tomohawk chop will be stuck in your head all night afterwards.

Boston-definitely my favorite besides Arlington. The atmosphere is the best for baseball I have ever been in. Fans know their stuff and are loud, but very hospitable. One thing I liked was that there was no dot race, cap shuffle, sausage race or any of that between innings. It seems like the Bostonians just want baseball and none of the extracurricular fan involvement. They don't need it though anyways.

Houston-Really cool stadium. I usually try to make it to Houston once a year when the Rangers are in town. Houston and San Francisco definitely have the nicest facilities of the stadiums I've been to.

My select team played a tournament in Clearwater in 2005 and all the teams had a different field in the area to use to practice on and ours was Jack Murphy Stadium, which was pretty neat albeit I dont remember much.

Thats where my baseball travels have carried me. Both the Chicagos and St. Louis are on the list for the summer. Lets see if we can get every stadium mentioned!

I've been to only a few, I wish I had more money to travel.

Minute Maid - My home stadium. I like it because its the home of my 'Stros and its overall a very nice park albeit a bit corky.

Astrodome - My stadium growing up. It was awesome when it had the old scoreboard. Once Bud Adams took that away it became a cookie-cutter style park.

Ballpark in Arlington - I usually make it up to Arlington every couple years for a game. It's a great stadium all around. However I will always make sure to get a seat that isn't being pancaked in the sun.

Metrodome - This stadium was aweful. I used to go to Minnesota every summer so I attended this place often. If you sat in the centerfield upper deck you wouldn't be able to see the right field wall.

Wrigley - I got to go to Chicago once for a wedding so I made sure I got to attend a Cubs game. It started storming in the second inning and the game was called. I liked to old time feel however it needs a modern scoreboard. I'm all about classic but jumbotrons are nice.

And that's it. One of these years I'm going to do a baseball trip to the northeast to hit up some parks.

I've been to a dozen or so and Boston is my favorite. The grass just seemed greener there.

1) Wrigley - no comment needed
2) Coors - close second behind wrigley, clean with awesome views
3) Arlington - always enjoy a day at the ballpark, just a great outdoor stadium
4) Comerica - cool venue in downtown Detroit with lots of historical Tigers' stuff
5) Houston - overall a nice stadium with some cool and unique features
6) Atlanta - nice, nothing special
7) Milwaukee - ate in a cool restaurant looking over left field
8) Tampa - dump

The Ballpark in Arlington
Kaufman
Minute Maid
Wrigley
Old Yankee Stadium
Fenway Park
New Busch
Citibank
Going to AT&T Park and Oakland Coliseum in June.

Fenway was the best hands down, Kaufman was really nice, I loved the renovations. Citibank was really nice, great atmosphere. New Busch was really open and another awesome place to catch a game. Houston roof was on and wasn't a fan of indoor baseball. Yankee Stadium and Wrigley were a notch below Fenway, but still amazing to take in a game at.

Even to a non-Red Sox fan, Fenway has a feel that you can't get anywhere else. Even moreso than Old Yankee Stadium in my opinion. I think PNC Park is the most underrated. It's a great park that more people need to go see.

San Fran has a good stadium, but there were too many things going on for my taste. It gave me an idiocracy vibe.

1) The Ballpark in Arlington - love the architecture of the suites in CF and the upper deck in RF reminds me of Tiger Stadium. The food selection is fantastic and their staff is helpful. I like the masonry for some reason, too. Great family atmosphere.
2) Wrigley Field - was shocked to see how small it is. Taking the el train and walking from the platform through an old neighborhood is very cool. No frills. Sat right behind home plate.
3) Arlington Stadium - generic look but the field was always in tip-top shape. Saw a lot of horrible Rangers teams there through the years. Used to bring my own holepuncher to punch my $5 outfield ticket to show the attendant guarding the 3rd base seats. He let us through.
4) Miller Park - roof was closed on a cool night in freaking JUNE. Boring for a new park. It made no impression on me at all.
5) Candlestick Park - Giants v. Dodgers with Deion Sanders playing CF that night. The temporary outfield fences looked cheap. Not a fan of multi-use facilities. All I could think about was Joe Montana to Dwight Clark.
6) Enron Field - gay train is gay. Catering to the Montrose crowd? Props for the view of downtown, though. Ranked low also because I don't like retractable roof stadiums. Rainouts are better than indoor baseball.
7) Astrodome - Seemed dark inside. As a kid in the early 80's it seemed HUGE, though. Jeff Leonard hit a blast and I think Joe Niekro got the W. I saw McGwire hit 2 blasts there his big year. We had trouble finding our section because it was labeled with a sharpie.

Places I would like to go: Seattle, Boston, Baltimore, St. Louis, Minnesota

Places I would have liked to have seen: Tiger Stadium, County Stadium, Old Yankee Stadium, The Polo Grounds, Old Baltimore Memorial Stadium, Olympic Stadium

The Ballpark In Arlington - Nice stadium
Astrodome - Crap stadium for the most part, but we sat in President Bush's seats so that was cool

I've been to two in Atlanta. Turner is okay.

Been to two in Houston. I think MMP is more silly than anything.

I've been to two in Arlinton. Really like Rangers Ballpark.

Wrigley and Comiskey. Comiskey was rough. Wrigley is cathedral.

Fenway is awesome. I went on the field for hour or so. Stood in both batter's boxes, mound, and all positions. They hadn't built the seats on Monster when I went there.

Been to both stadiums in Seattle. Safeco Field is spectacular, one of best in MLB. Kingdome was like a dive bar. You knew it was a dump but it didn't affect your good time.

Been to Metrodome which was terrible.

Been to Fulton County Stadium. It wasn't bad, just old.

I visited Angel Stadium. It's like MMP, too many gimmicks for my taste.

Dodger Stadium is a classic. It needs a little work done now. But they built the perfect stadium in the 60s and it's held up well.

Diamondbacks. It's okay, one of the ugliest of new stadiums. Seems like a shopping mall.

Coors Field. Great stadium. With mountains and pretty skyline in the area, it sure has a boring view. Should have turned it 180 degrees.

Jack Murphy Stadium. Probably the best of the cookie cutter stadiums.

Royal Stadium/ Kaufman. Most beautiful stadium for decades. It still looks good.

Old Busch. Same multi-purpose stadium as everybody else.

Jacobs Field (forgot new name). One of the first new stadiums. Great stadium. And it was the biggest improvement of all. Cleveland Municipal Stadium was hands down the worst ball park.

I've been to Fenway twice and it is easily my favorite. The first year was against the Indians but the second was against the Yankees. The ballpark is just on a different level when it is the Yankees they are playing.

Only been to the Ballpark and the Coliseum. Oakland was special since it was there July 4 celebration.

I'm a die hard Rays fan but man did they screw up with a stadium. The Trop with that catwalk and lights up top is just a pain.

Really want to see AT&T, Comerica, Wrigley, Yankee/Fenway, Camden, and even that brand new Miami Marlins Stadium!

1) Fenway - besides the fact that I am a Sox fan, Fenway is just an amazing park. It wasn't always as magical as it is now. The Henry group really put a lot of effort in bringing the old girl around.

2) Wrigley - great aptmosphere! Great city! Great neighborhood! Great fans! Great seats (unless you are directly behind a support pole that is. Wrigley is like Disneyworld for baseball fans!

3) US Cellular - yeah, I know that it isn't great but it automatically qualifies as #3 as all the next were domes.

4) Toronto Sky Dome - quiet, pedestrian, boring.

5) Astrodome - cavernous, fake, quiet, empty. Absolutely among the worst of settings for a baseball game. Glad the team and city agreed and built them a park.

6) Metrodome - Was in MPLS on business. Sox were in town. Day of game got decent seats. Ortiz hit a rocket that was destined for a 3 run HR. Unfortunately it hit a hanging light over 1st base side and he got a very frustrating single. Ortiz's post game comment: "Now you all know why I hated playing here." Real dump of a place but at least they knew it and rebuilt.

San Francisco's park has the best view and everything is very new. The people are strange, but the park is amazing. Fenway is a classic, but it is very old and uncomfortable. Nationals Park is new but boring. The Metrodome was ugly and stiff. I went to about 10 games this summer at the Coliseum and that place is absolutely ugly, but I have to be honest, I had a good time going to games. I paid about $2 per game to go and watch MLB baseball, how can I complain?

Fenway
Old Yankee

Fenway was the best, Camden is my favorite, and I thought Chavez Ravine was great, although I typically hear people say it's a shithole. Thought it was an awesome baseball atmosphere(they were playing SF and Bonds was in left; most rowdy non-playoff atmosphere ive been in).

Most overrated?

Old Yankee Stadium....complete dump relative to the greats who have played there and all the history, etc.

Next three I'd like to see are AT&T, Petco, and PNC.

Citizens Bank Park

Astrodome

Favorite is Wrigley then Camden. Yankee Stadium (old) was cool to experience but not like the other two. Wrigley will always be hallowed ground to me.

There's something about places like Wrigley and Old Yankee Stadium that make baseball different. Almost sacred. Baseball in its purist form with no flashing lights is how it's supposed to be seen. Same as it was 70 years ago. These new stadiums kill that for me. It's sad to see them go.

AT&T Park, San Francisco
Old Busch, St. Louis
New Busch, St. Louis
Coors, Colorado
Fenway, Boston
Kaufmann, Kansas City
Miller, Milwaukee
Minute Maid, Houston
Oakland Coliseum, Oakland
Rangers Ballpark, Texas
King Dome, Seattle
Sun Life, Miami
Tropicana, Tampa
Turner, Atlanta
Comiseky II, Chicago
Wrigley, Chicago
Yankees II, New York
Skydome, Toronto

I think that's about it for me.

Big fan of Fenway, Wrigley, and Yankee Stadium. Fenway gets a very, very slight nod for in-stadium experience over Wrigley, but New York is on top for all-around.

The new Busch might be my favorite of the new stadiums.

I will note that I do like the Ballpark in Arlington, but I feel it is at an awkward age. Its amenities can't match the new wave of stadiums, anymore, and while the atmosphere isn't bad and the design of the place pretty neat, its not really developed anything truly significant or unique.

The old park in Miami was the worst park I've ever been too. At least the weather in Oakland cooperates and their 10 fans are remarkably dedicated.

This

I've been to:

  • Dodgers Stadium - Went as a little kid and don't really remember it
  • Arlington Stadium - Nothing special, generic stadium, tons of great memories
  • Astrodome - I never liked the Dome. Too dark, too gloomy, and you know, the whole indoor baseball sucking thing.
  • Ballpark in Arlington - Love it. I think they did a great job with the stadium.
  • Wrigley - My one game is a special highlight in my baseball timeline. It's a grand old stadium.
  • MinuteMaid - I hated MMP the first time I went, but its grown on me over the years. I still think it feels more like an NBA arena than a MLB park. The fact that they basically refuse to ever open the roof drives me nuts.
  • Fenway - It's Fenway. What else is there to say? I caught a game when I was working in Boston. Given my coworkers were idiots, we didn't get there until the 3rd. They were sitting in our suite and I had just tagged along, so I grabbed a ticket off the street and sat with some great fans, had a couple of beers and dogs (what's up with the bread/buns on the hot dogs?). Then my ridiculous coworkers started calling me in the bottom of the 6th trying to see if I was ready to go. I ignored them for an inning and a half but still missed the last inning or so. Frustrating.

Yeah, it was ridiculous. It was during the 2nd week that I spent at our company HQ (the Sox were out of town the first week). We left work shortly after 5, I stopped by my hotel to drop off my car. There were three of us from out of town, and one native. The native apparently had no idea how to get there and we missed out exit and then had to go down a long way on the Turnpike in rush hour traffic before we could turn around and come back in traffic and then somehow we ended up on the north side of the charles river.

Huge cluster.

I did get to my seat just in time to see Ortiz hit a massive bomb, which was cool.
