Makes zero sense to speculate. Nobody knows the Rangers' plans other than a select few at the very top...and even they may not know exactly what they want to do just yet.

The Rangers had an attendance average of $36K, and they've gone deep into the playoffs 2 consecutive years.

To find out they weren't really in on keeping CJ Wilson, or getting Buehrle... I understand the not 6 years... I understand not overpaying... I've beaten that drum on here. I don't want Fielder... I don't know about Yu.

But what I read in that article took me back to the Tom Hicks era. If they'd have signed Fielder... or if they trade for Davis or Gio... it'd affirm that Hicks isn't too far away...

They've almost doubled their payroll in the last two years and they still need to lock up Hamilton. Let's slow down a little bit.

I'd be really really pissed if they went after Darvish and didn't make CJ a serious offer.
