and the Cardinal fans get a taste of their own medicine now. Astros fans got to watch Berkman have success elsewhere. Same for Cardinal fans and Pujols coming up

St. Louis Post Dispatch already throwing Pujols under the bus.

New article declaring Stan Musial as still the greatest cardinal ever.

Fairly certain the Angels are not thinking about the back end of the contract. As long as the get 3 or 4 years of exceptional Puljos and 2 or 3 good seasons after that they'll be happy with the deal especially if it gives them a shot at a WS title or two. Certainly a big risk but the Angels are one of the few franchises that are capable of making such a deal without completely hamstringing their future if it does not work out as they hope.

The Cardinals could come out smelling like a rose considering they got what is potentially Pujol's best years for less than market value. We will see if the decline that started last season was real or just a blip.

His #s should go up considering the park he is playing in compared to pitcher friendly Busch.

It will be a good move by the Angels if they can get to the WS a couple of times by 2015. They should be eating the last 3 or 4 years (at least) of the contract.

The sad part as a Cardinals fan will be watching him get 3,000 hits and the HR marks in an Angels uniform.

The Angels should ask their division rivals how 10 yr $250 million contracts work out with supposed best players in baseball

A-Rod was the best player in the AL, atleast, for the next 7 or 8 years.

The Rangers had about 70 million to build a team around A-Rod, the Angels might have up to 140 million to build a team around Pujols.

and memo to Matt Holliday ---> you better start hitting like a mega-superstar. That Holliday contract (5 years still left) is one major reason why the cards could not give Pujols as much as he wanted

Please stick to what you know about the Astros, the Cardinals were not going to break the bank to sign Pujols(to what Pujols wanted) regardless if Holliday never signed. You're Holliday hatred is borderline scary, please seek help.

True it is going to suck to see him in another uniform, but he won't be helping our biggest rival to a World Series Championship either. If he wins a couple of WS in Los Angeles, I can live with that knowing we won 2 with him in St. Louis. It's really not that big a deal.
