The Royals are tied for first in the AL with the Indians for team BA at .269
In 6th place in team ERA
The bullpen has performed, mostly, very well with 3-relievers having not given up a run yet this season in 14 innings and a total combined ERA of ~3.4
Closer extraordinaire Joakim Soria has struggled in 2 of 10 appearances this season. Blowing a 3-run lead in one game (gave up 4-runs and 4-hits vs CWS on 4/6) and has given up 3-HRs already this season. He gave up, IIRC, 3 all of last season and had over 30 saves.
Potential Match Ups

4/22 [url=mlb.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=433585]Jeff Francis has a career ERA of 4.72. This is his first season in KC.
4/23 Kyle Davies is the worst pitcher in MLB history If the Royals pull this one out they can win the series.
4/24 Bruce Chen has pitched well in his outings so far this season with an ERA of 2.4. He earned 3-wins in his last 3 starts, pitching 21-innings and giving up 15-hits, 2-runs and 5-walks with 13- SO’s. His fastball is a blazing 85mph….
The Royals have 4 walk off wins already this season.
4/1 vs LAA 2-1 Walk of Home run by Kila Ka'aihue
4/3 vs LAA 12-3 Walk off home run by former Ranger Matt Treanor in the 13th inning – only his 8th career homer and 1st walk off (Note he’ll be getting his AL Championship ring tonight before the game tonight).
4/5 vs CWS 7-6 Walk off single by Melky Cabrera's (4th straight final at bat win for the Royals)
4/21 vs CLE 3-2 wal off single by Melky Cabrera
They may not really be as good as their record indicates, but they are a lot of fun to watch right now (especially for a guy who’s first MLB game when he was 4yrs old was in 1974 in, then, Royals Stadium. I haven’t had much to cheer about since the early 90’s.
The Royals have not lost a series yet this season (splitting 4-game series with the Angles and Cleveland, and a 2-game series with the White Sox).
I said on Monday if the Royals can win just 4 of their next 10, it would be great for them. They’re half way there. I think they’ll drop the first two and win on Sunday.
