Is anyone concerned with giving sheets a 2-year deal? Seems the Rangers are pushing for a one year with a club option, but I have no issues with giving him a straight 2 years. Especially if he has health issues, chances are pretty good he'll produce better in year two anyways.

That's the Rangers' M.O. They like to bring in injured guys on one year deals, then after they rehab with the Rangers we watch them really take off in year two with somebody else.

I see no problem with bringing him in on a two year deal. I think that's the best possible thing you could do, with a club option for year three.

According to Ken Rosenthal the talks between the Rangers and Sheets has slown down considerably. But one thing that might help us is Perez and the Mets just agreed to terms on a contract.

That means we are the only team that is interested. Looking good for us.
