Big shoutout to Zach Edey, fouling out in just 15 minutes in his debut for the Grizzlies last night.

Decades ago, I was at the Summit as then-rookie Popeye Jones of the Mavericks got 4 personal fouls against Hakeem in the 1st quarter and fouled out soon after.

The only rookie that looked good was Yves Missi. Pelicans really need him to step up big, especially now with DeJounte breaking his hand. I still think Edey wins ROY, though.

I think Jaxson Hayes is/should be done with the season after TMZ released this video from a 2021 incident...




Uncertain if Embiid will get any games for shoving a reporter, but I would think so, barring further news that the reporter attacked the big guy.

Who released Ring camera footage to TMZ? Surely the GF?

I realize he shoved her as he moved past her, but everything else seemed to happen off camera.

The video is coming out now because there is a civil lawsuit against the player, including the fact that she claims that Hayes compensated one of the arresting officers. Not sure what exactly all that is about.

He was charged with misdemeanors and plead no contest. However, on his side that this video is coming out in the middle of the NFL, college football, the election and the start of the NBA season. It's not leading any ESPN morning show, and it involves a big market team.

I would not be shocked if the NBA said no game suspension or said that domestic abuse is clearly evident and they won't tolerate it, suspending him for the rest of the season. Video evidence is a big deal.

Eight months after being sidelined with blood clots, Ausar Thompson has been cleared to resume his NBA career. Looking forward to seeing him again. He looked really promising early last year.

To be fair, it doesn't take a lot to figure out the Mavs last play of any close game:

  • Inbound to Luka or Kyrie
  • Slowly dribble standing still until the clock is below 3 seconds
  • Step back 3 pointer usually from well beyond the 3 point line

Greek Freak started the season hitting a career low 58.1% from the free-throw line, then went 16 of 17 last night en route to 59 points vs the Pistons. He scored 22 of the Bucks' 24 points in the first quarter, and outscored the Pistons 11-9 in OT.

The next stat I'm purposely putting in reverse order to emphasize the guy atop the list.
