Watching the game the other night and when that happened it was one of those sit up off the couch and say "WHAT?!??" moments. Guess I gotta get used to seeing something that Ice would have finger rolled become a dunk.

Barlow is super intriguing to me, I think he has the ceiling of a playoff rotation player. Good size with longer arms than Zach, high motor, looks pretty comfortable putting the ball on the floor, can guard wings and bigs, only 20 years old. I'm hoping he is next in line to receive a Bassey/Champagnie contract, if he can put the work in on his jumper he could be someone we can keep around.

Sochan and Jones both had critical shots (and misses) in the last minute. Both were open, but there was a reason for that.

Man that was a fun game. If we can play with that kind of energy all the time, we'll actually win some games. The duel between Wemby and Giannis, especially during the 3rd, was incredible to watch. Really looking forward to Wemby not being on a minutes restriction anymore. I thought Barlow gave us some really good minutes. I hate that he had to leave the game, but he really stepped up. Our offense in general looked way better with Tre Jones and even Blake Wesley running the offense than we have with Branham. Vassel and Keldon were both unbelievable as well tonight.

Biggest difference between the youth of our team and the veteran presence of the bucks: Giannis and Dame scored the last 25 points for the bucks. Our last two possessions when we were down we got wide open looks, but they were by our two worst shooters in the floor in Sochan and Jones. We have to be able to find ways to get Wemby, Vassel, and Keldon shots on those last two possessions.

Don't know if it will take a few years the right players around Wemby. More likely than not two lottery picks next year, and 3-4 first rounders next year. Plus our roster is young and we are financially flexible with no bad contracts.

Over the last 10 games, Julian has been shooting 54/50/92. For the season, Sochan is hitting 38% of his threes including 41% of catch and shoot threes.

I think we will have filled out the core over the next 18 months. And I think that is is possible that guys like Cissoko develop into that core.

I don't think the Raptors are blowing it up, I think they are in that No Man's Land area that we were from 2019-2022 where we are in the 9-12 range of the conference, and don't quite want to blow things up.

They needed to replace FVV and they couldn't resign OG, because he wanted way more than he is worth, so Quickly+RJ+31st pick in the draft makes sense.

I think they are going to be where we were - stuck in that 8th-14th pick range unless they do something drastic. And the moves so far haven't been drastic. They have been more focused on gaining players than picks.

One of my favorite sports things these days is watching these guys who've been the athletic freaks on the floor their entire lives go up against Wemby for the first time and be like "smdh."

I saw where Chet won Rookie of the Month for both Nov. and Dec. Also, there are a good number of people insisting the he should get ROY over Victor. I don't get it. If last night's game doesn't change some minds then I these people must not be watching actual games.

The good news is that Victor doesn't seem bothered by it and continues to do his thing and improve.

It's pretty clear that they're taking OKC's record into account on that, but Chet has a way better team around him and is usually option 3 or 4 out there. Wemby is our best player and it's not close.

Chet's team is going to get him ROY, all defense and possibly an all star nod. This was my gripe about the experimentation/running no offense crap, because it clearly affects Wemby's first year for accolades, and honestly, it hasn't done anything for the good of the team. Pop and his staff have dropped the ball this year and I don't think that's an overreaction. If we were a top 10 team in the west, it would be a different conversation for Wemby. It sucks but it is what it is. Hopefully last night is the beginning of a pissed off Wemby, and he goes off the rest of the year.

The griping about Pop's handling of the team and Wemby are soooo short sighted. In the grand scheme of things getting Wemby the ROTY award is NOT the primary objective of this organization. As stated publicly, the goal of the org is to foster player development with an eye to future success. It can be frustrating in the moment if you aren't capable of having a longer term vision.

I get that. But 5 wins in 30+ games is rough. With Wemby, a HOF coach and a team that was better last year, it should yield something more.
