Features a retractable roof on a basketball arena.

Expansion NHL team.
Snagged the Raiders, and are presently gunning for the As from Oakland.
What NBA team are they coming for? New Orleans? Minnesota?

Also, is playing an NBA game with an open roof a good idea? I can't tell.

There is still periodic talk of recovering losses from the pandemic by expanding and adding two more teams, which most would expect to be Seattle and Vegas. That would require the Easternmost team (Memphis) to go East (although there is a reason to have Minnesota go East to be with Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit).

I think the interesting conversation would be if they would do 8 4-team divisions, 4 8-team divisions, or just 2 conferences. And by interesting, I mean re-imagining that stuff is probably only interesting to me.

Clear roof, retractable roof in Vegas both seem incredibly dumb to me.

From the Article

"It is important to note that the original groundbreaking for the project took place in 2014 and many in Las Vegas are skeptical that this will ever actually happen. T-Mobile Arena was built to house an NBA and NHL team and if Vegas ever gets a team, it is expected to play there."
