Have they worn this before?

I'm trying to figure out why the jazz, who's colors (judging from their logo)



are blue, yellow, and green are wearing what I'd call rockets's colors from the "old days"

The NBA switched to Nike this past year for jerseys. Nike made a special jersey for each team called "City Edition". The jerseys the Jazz had on last night were their version of the City Edition. From the Nike article about them, this is the meaning behind the colors:

I sat in the Nike coporate office a year ago when the creative team went through their City Edition jerseys/ concept. It was creative and well thought out. I really liked most of them, and each city's jersey had a good amount of thought put into it (with a few lazy exceptions - Houston, Phoenix, etc.)

I think they will always want to have one jersey dedicated to Latin culture, and one towards Asian culture, but they had plans to continue to release one a year for each team. I gave my input on a couple of teams for the future, and I'm curious to see if they took any of my ideas.


For the record, my favorites were (in order) :

Miami Heat (Miami Vice)
Philadelphia 76ers (Constitution)
New York Knicks (FDNY)
Utah Jazz (Sunset over red desert)
Chicago Bulls (Retro/ City Flag)
Atlanta Hawks (Retro/ Urban culture)

I am fine with the Rockets doing a Chines New Year alternate every season but it should not be our "city edition"

We need a city edition in addition to the Chinese jersey.
