I hope he plays well but not extremely well otherwise he'll be offered a contract we can't match.
Clint was great last night. Nobody is going to confuse him for Kareem with his post moves but the fact that he has actual post moves now is a huge improvement. One of my favorite things about watching the Rockets over the last several years has been watching Clint improve.shano0603 said:
For those who got to watch the game. Does Capela look like he's improved his offensive game, or was it just a bunch of alley-oops and open layups?
It's a good investment. I moved away from Houston 2 years ago and have bought the "One-team only" package each season to watch all the Rockets games.3rdGen2015 said:
NBA League Pass is having a free trial this week, so I activated it out of curiosity. It thinks my location is in Dallas so I can watch the Rockets, but the Mavs are blacked out. Like I care. So I might actually get League Pass.
I have the Rockets app and ran into that issue last night. Already turned the final score notification off.CreedBratton said:It's a good investment. I moved away from Houston 2 years ago and have bought the "One-team only" package each season to watch all the Rockets games.3rdGen2015 said:

One thing I would suggest though: if you have ESPN or NBA notifications on your phone for Rockets games, turn them off. Because the streams are usually slightly delayed, so my phone will notify me at the end of quarters (and therefore, at the end of the game) before the stream has ended on League Pass. If the game is a blowout, no big deal. But there were a few games that went down to the wire and my stupid phone told me the final score of the game before it actually ended.
He generally looks the same to me from an offensive standpoint. It looks like he is a bit heavier and I am a bit worried it has made him a little less explosive. He did have an amazing catch on a lob from Harden that was like 2.5 feet above the rim, so I might just be nit picking. I'm not sure he is going to develop into a true low-post scoring threat because he simply won't have an opportunity to practice those skills in the game.shano0603 said:

I hope so. Its clear they built this current roster with GSW in mind.Ag12thman said:
I think Rockets are gonna be a thorn in Golden State side all season. Team is good enough to beat anyone.
I agree a defensive center would be a good add but I also have a feeling we will see Nene play even fewer regular season minutes than last year. Pringles knows that Nene is a huge weapon in the playoffs and needs to be fresh.matthop said:
I still think we need to add a defensive center to the mix. I dont know how long Nene will hold up over the course of the season/playoffs. And if Capela ever gets in foul trouble, the idea of Ryan Anderson being the 5 makes me cringe.

As much as I hated losing Lou in the trade our bench looks damn good. Maybe we can get him back on the cheap in the MIDseason.
I didn't know they were doing this until I caught the 2nd half of chapter 3 yesterday. It was really well done, it had him sitting around with Jay Z weighing his options. What was most telling was the emotional hardship that he went through to make this decision to leave LA. As a fan we sometimes forget these guys have families and kids that they have to uproot from their friends when they move cities.Aggie09Derek said:
Anyone else watch the first part of the Chris Paul special on ESPN?
Pretty good.
Saw him a few weeks ago at Target on San Felipe, didn't realize how thin that dude is.AG@RICE said:He generally looks the same to me from an offensive standpoint. My hope is that he becomes a great defensive rebounder because that is the major weakness of our team. Last night he stepped up and grabbed 12 (17 total!). Very promising effort from Clint!
Wouldn't we have to give up about as much salary as we take in? Seems like that would be tough to do and keep our new defenders.Hickory High said:
So it looks like Eric Bledsoe is very available, and his tweet may have ruined the Suns' bargaining power a bit...
Could we make it happen?
idk, Morey has always been good at making the Suns do dumb things in trades.rvk246 said:
No we shouldn't get him. In order to get Bledsoe we'd have to shed salary, give up picks and Eric Gordon most likely. CP3 will be back in 2-4 weeks and all we need is a backup who can lead the offense when beard rests.
