Nobody that matters ever really questioned how good Durant was.
The criticism was targeting his unprecedented choice of a top 3 player to join a 70+ win team to make it as easy as possible to score and win a championship.

I don't understand why Durant put his stats in his shoes when it wasn't his talent or scoring that was ever in question. Well, I do understand because it helps sell shoes.

Yeah, pretty easy to do when you play on a 73 win team that didn't need your ass to win a title.
