Pretty impressed with Aaron Gordon last night. Soon he'll be a 20/10 type player.

He actually hit another three on the previous possession right before stuffing Giannis twice.

Booker scored 29 in the 4th quarter last night. He is really getting good fast. The reason I think he is going to be so good is that he makes things look really easy. Never forcing things and he will hit the open guy. Phoenix is really, really bad.

I would say in no particular order.

Kawhi
Davis
Wiggins

Kawhi Leonard. Could be the next Lebron as far as I'm concerned.

Hahahaha dude don't get me wrong Kawhi is one of my favorite players in the league but I know you're a Spurs fan so you get a pass for that one.

He's pretty different stylistically from LeBron and is obviously not the same physical specimen. Leonard is good though and is a better 3 point shooter than LeBron has ever been. I think Leonard has about reached his ceiling in potential - which is a HOF caliber player.

Why do you think Gordon will be a 20/10 player?

Considering that he's already 25, nah.

This guy caught the pass 8 feet before the half court marker and dribbled ONCE before dunking it.

I was expecting that to be really bad travel but it wasn't a travel.

Giannis shouldn't even exist. It's like if some unethical Chinese genetic engineering company from the year 2150 decided to create the perfect basketball player.

This guy is AMAZING. I hope the Bucks fans enjoy watching him play because he does stuff like that every night. If he figures out how to shoot it will be all over for the rest of the league.

I understand that all you know everything tough guys think Booker didn't do anything special but put it in perspective.

It has happened 11 times in league history, half of those by Wilt.

His team lost, but that happened in 5 of the 11 70 point games.

If you take out the 1960's, when teams averaged many more points, it has only happened 5 times. That equals once every ten years!

You can say they fed him the ball and it is meaningless stats, but every high scoring individual game is that way. When Kobe scored 81, the rest of his team combined took something like 2 shots in the 4th quarter. Everyone is making a fuss about Russ but his starting center last game had exactly zero defensive rebounds. Just gave them all to westbrook. Russ gets more meaningless stats than any person in NBA history yet he will win MVP because his whole team is pushing stats toward him.

Booker scored 70 on only 40 shots. His efficiency was fantastic, even if his team lost. Of course he isn't Jordan... but this thread is about the best young players and he is right there with any of them. Is there a better 2 guard right now? Probably Thompson because of his defense, but can you name another?

Adding Ben Simmons to this list.

17, 9, and 8 through 12 games. Throw in 1 steal and 2 blocks. He has an argument for top 5 player in the Eastern Conference.

What an idiot?!

Don't look now but 23 year old Capela is averaging almost 13-12-2 in only 26 min per game. I doubt he can keep it up, but that probably puts him a tier or 2 down from the top guys, but at least in the conversation.

Tatum is another guy to keep an eye on. He's averaging 14-6 on 50% shooting as a rookie.

Embiid is destroying worlds tonight. 14-20 from the field and 16-19 from the FT line (46 total points). Basically, when he gets the ball the Lakers either foul him or else he scores on whatever helpless putz is defending him.

Oh, and he has 15 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 blocks too.

Simmons didn't have the same monster point line, but he still finished with 18 points on 8/13 shooting, 10 assists, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Karl-Anthony Towns
Andrew Wiggins
Kristaps Porzingis
Joel Embiid

Currently this list would probably be:
1. Embiid
2. Simmons
3. Antetokounmpo
4. Porzingis
5. KAT
..
..
..
Wiggins.

However, Antetokounmpo is doing this all without a jump shot, which is pretty incredible. If he can develop one the way Blake Griffin did, he'd be #1 easily. Peak Embiid is just unfair. Praying he stays healthy. Peak Embiid is overshadowing an INCREDIBLE rookie season by Ben Simmons. He's balling out, running that offense, putting up huge numbers, and playing great defense. He's been even more consistent than Embiid night to night. He's another one that would be scary if he learned ajump shot, but doesn't need one to already be a top 20 NBA player.

Porzingis seems to be single handedly leading the Knicks to a winning record and is incredible, but doesn't have the playmaking stuff of the top 3 on my list. KAT is also great but it's frustrating he doesn't have more of an impact on the defensive end the way some of the other unicorns are.

Either way, the future is bright for the NBA and it's only a matter of time before Lebron is no longer the unanimous best player in the NBA.

Some people wrote off the Greek freak so easily!! Thanks for the bump. No slight at some of the other ballers that were named but Greek freak turned out the best out of all of them. As a mavs fan, I hope Porzingis does live up to his potential. Hes a great player rn coming off the injury and I'm sure there's chemistry/teamwork arc you go through playing next to Luka, but if he does meet expectations... we could possibly see a dynasty in Dallas
