Last year I was WAY off, hoping to rebound this year.

Edit: after doing some more thorough research, I've changed my mind. West will be king again this year.

Everything after the Clippers is just going to be a mess, IMO. Looking at the West, the Jazz, Lakers, Kings, and Nuggets are all going to be terrible, and I think the Suns, Blazers (I don't think McCollum has the same kind of year he had last year), and Pelicans will be below average. I think the Blazers will be the 9th place team, but I'm a big T-Wolves fan this year.

Dirk is getting old. Probably will be hurt.

I like NO's addition of TJ and Lance Stephenson. I think they will thrive there.

So through 6 preseason games, the Rockets are averaging 38.3 3 Point Attempts per game. Which obviously leads the league. Second is Brooklyn at 33.4 Attempts and the Warriors at 33.0 attempts. We're hitting at a 34.3% and of course GS is at 40.4%.

I mean by that logic....the Thunder are 1 injury away from being screwed. Their scoring and defense will be down this year.

Jazz no way....they have no guards.

Not sure what you are looking at. Jazz were decimated by injury last season and still managed to finish 9th in West. They added Diaw, Hill and Joe Johnson. Exum and Burks are healthy. One of their 4 or 5 PG will be traded before the deadline imo.

I'd imagine no one wants Burks' incredibly overpaid contract, and Exum hasn't proved anything yet to be worth trading. If anything, I bet they trade Favors.

Also, the Jazz have no one to go to in crunch time situations. That was a huge problem for them all of last year as they lost a lot of games late. All those people they added are above average players, but it doesn't make them better than a majority of West teams.

Hill is a good pickup for them...I'm just saying that relative to the other teams in the West, their guard play is not as strong. They probably have one of the best frontcourts, but I'll take the Suns/Nuggets/Timberwolves guards over the Jazz if I had a choice.

Maybe "no guards" was a little choice...

I think "Jazz no way" is very unreasonable. They would have been the 8th seed last season if not for a 60 point outburst in Kobes last game. They are fully healthy and their roster has absolutely gotten better.
