Never thought we would be as good as we were this year. 3rd best regular season record in the NBA with a new head coach, new starters, new pieces, and new feel to the team. It certainly had its ups and down, with tonight being one of those downs, but I enjoyed talking basketball with everyone.

If anything this will put a chip on the team's shoulders coming out next season. Hopefully Morey can get better dependable help.

Disappointing ending obviously but successful season overall considering expectations this year. On to the astros who have their best team since 1998.

This. Players like Harden are a dime a dozen. He's not going anywhere. Great season, disappointing finish.

Kobe wasn't Kobe because he was great in the regular season. Jordan wasn't Jordan because he was great in the regular season. If LeBron bowed out in the 2nd round every year you would laugh at him.
Harden has consistently let us down. I'm not willing to wait for him to change. He is what he is. Trade him for the chance to have better. At worst, it can't be worse.

You're still comparing him to some of the best ever so obviously he's still a superstar.
Analysts on NBA TV saying Harden at point was good choice for regular season but once they took on SA and especially once Nene was out, expecting him to run point and also put him in all that physical play down low with Gasol and other bigs, after taking all that beating, he's going to be tired in the legs and in the arms.

He tried this year. I'll give you that. But in the end, he still would rather try to draw fouls than score, try to reach than get in proper position, and try to let others take the fall instead of trying to take over the game.
He has the talent, he doesn't have the drive.

Regular season NBA =/= Playoffs NBA
It's a completely different game. Harden just spams the same trick over and over again during the season

Y'all all need to stop posting and chill. No, trading Harden does not seem like a reasonable answer. What does seem like a reasonable answer is getting some more support in the paint so we can actually be a balanced team instead of jacking up 50 ****in 3s a game. Yeah Harden didn't do well in those last few games, but the fact that the spurs did absolutely fine without Kawhi ought to tell you something.

So of he choked yet again, what makes you think things will change? Do we have to go get LeBron?
Harden has had playoffs with a dominant post player. He's had them with great 3 point shooters.
In the end, he doesn't get it done. And you can always point to his stupid turnovers as one of the reasons.

Regular season basketball means very little besides stats and playoff seeding. That said, maybe Harden will agree next year to be a more rested player during the season. Maybe not exactly sitting out full games like guys have done in the past (and something that the league has said they want to correct), but maybe playing fewer minutes and occasionally having a mysterious "stomach virus".
I will still have questions about his late game decision making and propensity to turn the ball over. And he may turn out to be a playoff bust in the end. But he needs to be a more rested player in the future. No doubt.

So what the **** would trading him do? You never trade a superstar away unless he's 100% leaving your team the next offseason and your team has no shot at the playoffs
