Simplebay, your new coach is getting his ass handed to him in the WCF so you don't have a whole lot of room to talk.
Soo....now that Walton is in the finals... ummm....
all Kerr's doing? Or are Rockets fans still excited to have Walton in a couple years?
Im confused. Are you making fun of the Rockets or the Lakers with this post?
If the Rockets have Walton in a couple of years it is because the Lakers let him go...probably because he couldnt turn that turd of a roster into a passable NBA team....
To answer you question, I would be excited to see Luke Walton as an assistant coach in a few years. It means the Lakers were so bad that they are essentially rebuilding again. So yes, I would definitely enjoy watching the Lakers be horrible for the next 10-15 years.
I'd also say it is quite likely that Walton wont make it very long in LA either. The management group is feuding, their roster is terrible, and the young players have not been properly mentored. They just watched an entire year of Kobe getting his at the sake of the entire organization. The whole Lakers community cheered for him to be a high volume, low efficiently, selfish player and no one seemed to care that the team lost 65 games. What kind of example is that? The organization did nothing to inspire leadership, accountability or teamwork for the future.
They are basically the anti-Spurs now....
