Wow....CP3 and Griffin out for the remainder of the playoffs. Good chance GS will end up with Portland now and a much easier road to the WC Finals. Better to be lucky than good sometimes!

Temporarily. Not a serious injury and not expected to miss the entire playoffs.....may miss as little as 2 weeks.

Reminds me of when the spurs won the championship in 2003 where chris webber and dirk nowitzki were both injured.

I wonder why everyone thinks the Clips are a better matchup for the Warriors than the Blazers.

The Blazers played the Dubs tougher in the regular season, and they don't really have anyone capable of guarding Damian Lillard.

Oh no, injuries affecting the NBA playoffs. This is the first time that has ever happened so we should all freak out about it.

They don't need to; they'll just outscore them.

Dumb thread. Warriors lose MVP and they are lucky. Any Warrior player or fan would prefer that Curry wasn't injured and neither were CP3 or Griffin if we could make that trade.

Dumb.

Also, u do realize that 2wks is most likely best case. Curry may not be back at all.

Have you been living under a rock? Curry is expected back even early than the 2 weeks that was initiallly expected.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. All reports I have heard are expecting Curry to not be out very long and my point is simply that the Clips at full strength were a MUCH tougher match up than Portland. As a fan, I was excited at the thought of watching two NBA Finals worthy match ups in the second round of the West, just to get to the WC Finals.

I agree that seeing GSW vs Clips at full strength would've been more interesting. Even as a GSW fan that is undeniable.

Yep. Portland struggled to close out LAC the last two games, which is pretty pathetic given they were missing Griffin and CP3. I think GS is going to smoke POR

Yep. Portland backed into the 5 seed anyway because of Memphis collapse. They're on the same level as a healthy Dallas and only slightly better than the Warriors first round competition. Playoffs / = regular season and Lilliard will be painfully aware of that later today.
