impressed with what carlisle got out of mavs to close regular season...

...but does anybody think the mavs win more than a game, if that, in the playoffs?

need to start the rebuild in hopes of being good by the time the warriors cycle ends but stuck in neutral for now with these "okay" regular seasons and one-and-done playoffs.

If Cuban didn't rebuild after last season and free agency, I don't know if he'll ever do it. Once Dirk retires maybe, but I agree, we aren't gonna build in free agency or the draft the next couple years. It's gonna be a long few seasons. And I don't want to lose Carlisle, but he'll make it harder to lose.

I have the Mavs taking that series 6 games in the playoff pickem. Mostly because of Carlisle and his Wizardry.

He always impresses this Spurs fan each year and I'm happy as hell we dodged Dallas in round 1.

San Antone would win. Nobody doubts that. But they would come out of it having worked way too hard for it. Carlisle throws a wrench in everybody's plans, like the Indians in Major League. He just doesn't realize when he's outgunned.

was this schtick or did you really think the mavs had a chance to win the series? miracle they won a game with their health coming into the playoffs.

I had them taking it 6, not winning. But that was when they weren't all injured to shreds too. They still did a hell of a job. No kidding at all, they're a gutsy team and they have a great coach. Refreshing to see. Feel bad for Dirk.
