It's a shame he was hurt the last 3 seasons. I would have liked to see him break the scoring title.

Just bought two tickets on Flash behind the Lakers bench for April. Has been my favorite player since 6th grade.

He has always been on of my favorite players even as Spurs fan who was supposed to hate him. End of an amazing era.

Legend. Once in a generation. Stay retired Bean, you've earned it.

Box score from the night he and Smush Parker combined to score 94 points.

I bet those were pricey

Cheapest seats for the final game at Staples are $500 right now on stubhub

You guys think his body will hold up until April?

I could see him playing a little less (minutes and games) between now and then.

Only history will tell us if the Hornets made a mistake by trading him for Vlade Divac

No. I don't.

But every ticket broker/scalper (I'm not familiar with that term) is playing a pricing game. Price the ticket too low, and your losing out on potential income. Price too high believing you can always come down before the Lakers game in your town, and you risk Kobe getting hurt and the tickets being worth very little.

Honestly, I'm surprised the Lakers at Rockets tickets on TM aren't going for more money (12/12 game), and even for the April game.

If Kobe's body holds up, HNIC's tickets will seem like a bargain versus what they will be going for in April.

It's definitely not a sound financial decision, but I can't go to the game on the 12th because I have a graduation stuff. It really is a lottery ticket that he's operational for the 3rd to last game of the season, but I don't care.

Come April, catch your boy on TV. I'll be the Asian guy in the A&M shirt sobbing quietly the entire game.

It's been an entertaining run. Say what you will but five rings is five rings and without him they would have won zero, even with a dominant Shaq. I agree that I hope he stays retired.

Will be very interesting to see what the Lakers do with that 25 mil per year he's been getting the last two years. Though they have likely screwed themselves in the lottery this year, they do still have an incredibly young and low-paid core. They are in a position they haven't really been in since pre-Kareem with no major star power to draw top FA's but at least they have the cash.

Not sure how close you are to New Orleans, but it might be significantly cheaper and easier to get tickets close seats to the visitors bench if you go to a Pelicans game, especially the Lakers @ Pelicans game on a Thursday in February.

Smoothie King arena is pretty empty these days and lots of tickets are still available for cheap for all their games.

"People will always want to talk about the championships, the All-Star selections, or the scoring titles, but what I'll really always cherish are all the times I let my teammates know when they completely ****ed up," said Bryant, adding that since deciding to retire at the end of this season, he has been hit by a sudden wave of nostalgia for all of the instances in which he unloaded on his fellow players for their mental errors or lack of physicality against opponents. "It really is the little things that stick with me, like yelling at Dwight Howard for not taking a charge or kicking Kwame Brown out of practice because he didn't dive for a loose ball."

"That's the type of stuff I'll really miss the most," Bryant added.
