There are 64 players making 12mm+ this year. I think some of those were max or near max when first signed off their rookie deal.
I think Parsons is a good third fiddle, but isn't quite good enough to carry the load as a second fiddle, especially with his recent injury history.
You'd take pretty much all those guys just below him over him, except Tristan Thompson, right?

I don't think Chandler is vastly overpaid, but he is a bit. But that is just the nature of restricted free agency. Signing him did made sense and made Dallas stronger and Houston weaker. Cuban's plan did work.
