Oh, and it's disgusting how down this team goes when Charlie V and JJ check in together. Literally, this team had two negative point swings with them in the game together. It's worse when Charlie makes a 3, because he'll chuck up more and/or stay in the game longer

I'm going to the game tonight with a couple of spurs fans. Not sure why I'm going to put myself through the punishment of getting drilled while sitting by Spurs fans. Hopefully, we somehow pull a win out of our ass.

Is it just me or have the Mavs played in a ton of OT games this year. I feel like every time I look at NBA.com, the Mavs are playing in OT.

Well we got David Lee, so there's another big slowish white guy who doesn't play much D lol.

On the upside any minutes that we take away from Charlie V is a good thing.

If we don't go at least 6-3 in our next 9 games, we may be in trouble.

The Denver game was one of the craziest games I've ever seen. Hopefully we keep it going tonight. Have to beat up on these bottom teams of we have a shot at moving up in the standings at all.

Well, good thing we beat up on Minnesota last night, although the strategy to beat them seems rather easy- double-team Karl-Anthony Towns and they really don't have anything else, Andrew Wiggins notwithstanding. Great wire-to-wire win

The AAC was dead against Orlando. Guess that's what happens when the Magic roll into town on a Tuesday night. Good thing we picked up the win.

The AAC was dead against the Spurs on a Friday night (extremely empty and half of the people that were there were spurs fans). Attendance has been awful this year. It's really weird. I guess fans have just gotten so used to making the playoffs every year with Dirk that they've quit coming to games.

It will be loud tonight- choruses of boos for that turtle-faced **** coming in with the Kings- especially when he was "injured" their first game here this season. Can't wait

Well, if it were actually true before, it certainly isn't now. I don't know if they showed this on the broadcast, but at the end of a game of constant boos, a chant of "Rondo sucks" broke out, and then the turtle-faced **** walked around and taunted the fans even more to boo him, playing the wrestling heel. During one of the Kings free-throws at the end, he walked around the perimeter and stared down the fans on the front row.

Mavs lost this game. Too many turnovers, too many missed shots- especially from three. Really frustrating loss

Lost 4 straight and have a brutal stretch coming up. Looks like it will be Warriors round 1 for us, or maybe even missing the playoffs. Sad.

I know carlisle is a great coach, but I'm so sick of him not playing rookies/youngs. There is absolutely no reason to not play Anderson and see what we have. This is going to be a huge issue going forward in the rebuilding phase after Dirk. Either he has to change his ways or we need a new coach after Dirk (but we just extended him for 5 years). It could get ugly if we start to rebuild with Carlisle as our coach.

And why hasn't Powell been playing lately? He seems to be the new Brendan Wright, players who plays great and Carlisle just refuses to play enough. Powell was awesome for the first half of the year and now all of a sudden doesn't get any meaningful playing time? It's ridiculous.

Can't disagree on involving Anderson more at this point, and also mix Powell more into the rotation. And although my understanding is that Evans wasn't much for defense, he did have a great preseason (as did Jenkins, who was cut to make room for Lee).

The current rotation doesn't work. It was floated out there that putting Parsons in a bench role might actually help even out the disparity between the starting and bench rotation, but then again this team has no identity and one surefire way to piss off Parsons and make him opt out and bolt at the end of the season is to do that. So i dunno.

In the category of "What's the Point?", the NBA actually rescinded the technical on D-Will last night. Has that actually happened before?

Yea I've heard of them rescinding before, usually when players are close to being suspended for the aggregate number of techs they've gotten for the year. Other than that aggregate number, it doesn't affect anything.

I didn't make it to the game yesterday because I was working- and I couldn't even give my tickets away. How the game went just reinforces why.

Haha, yea even if I had tix offered to me for free, I think I would have just chosen to stay home and watch the Ags on Saturday.

I don't know if it was because Carlisle wanted to go small or if he had to finally acknowledge that Zaza has played like ass since the break, but taking him out of the starting lineup in favor of Felton sure did get things off on the right foot last night. Maybe this continues? Two real tests coming up with the best players in basketball- LeBron and Curry

It is very likely the Mavs lose vs GS, @GS and @CLE in the next 5 games. At this point I expect the Mavs to be tied or +/- 1 game of Utah on 3/25.

It is going to come down the last 10 games of the season to get into the playoffs. The game @Utah on 4/11 may be a play in game for the right to make the playoffs. Of course getting the 8th seed means watching the Warriors roll up and down the court for 4 additional games. The only positive I see at making the playoffs is sending Boston the 16th pick instead of 13th. Talk about some pretty low stakes.

Friend of mine who lives in Austin but hails from the Bay Area was able to come to town for the Dubs game Friday- he had not been to a Dubs game since 1973. We went early to see the Curry circus- when the arena opened, it was packed right by the entrance tunnels- of course, a thousand kids wearing a Curry jersey. But we did get to watch the Curry warmup routine- and of course, they set up special lighting for it so the camera can catch it just right. It's still a pretty cool little routine to watch. Didn't do a full-court from-the-tunnel shot though.

That game was fun to watch, but also frustrating- the effort they put into that game hadn't been present for at least a month. David Lee had a double-double by the end of the first quarter. It's never enough against the Dubs, and unless you're the Spurs a win ain't happening.

Matinee game against the Blazers, which at least will end before the Ags tipoff this evening

We're all watching the Ags right now, but can't let an amazing Dirk game go unnoticed. 40 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. He is only the fourth player in NBA history to score 40 or more points for players his age or older. And against the team you absolutely needed to beat
