That was a fun game to watch. They played very well last night because Dirk played like peak Dirk. Unfortunately those days are fewer and farther between so I'll just enjoy that one.

The Mavs do have a nice complement of shooters on this team. The problem is they just don't have the defense and rebounding to win games when the shots aren't falling. All 4 losses are by double digits for this reason. I think it is going to be an up and down year with a few nice wins sprinkled with blowout losses.

Glad to hear the crowd was better than it seemed on TV.

Haha, so true. I don't even care if Parsons plays. He's worth the money for entertainment value.

Damn, win over Houston with no Dirk, no Parsons and no Matthews? Awesome. Didn't see the game to know if it was more Rockets played bad or if other Mavs stepped up, but good to see some consistency in wins

Raymond Felton played out of his mind and Harden played like ass. Harden ended up with a 25 point double double but it was a completely inefficient one, with tons of turnovers, air balls, not just air balled threes but a few right next to the rim. He clunked a layup, dribbled a ball off his foot, got called for an offensive foul for swinging those chicken arms of his. It was glorious to watch.

Love when players complain about obvious fouls.

Felton has surprised me. He is playing hard. Dwill better than Brooklyn Dwill, especially late in games.

Matthews is still a bit off, but expected for a guy who shouldnt be playing right now.

Who would've thought Felton was capable of competent play, especially when he was basically the Mavs official "player who is relegated to visit food drives and classrooms" early last season while recovering from injury/suspension

Solid win over the Jazz, despite almost blowing a 20-pt lead. And those old green jerseys look great, but I'd love to see the old home white jerseys at some point.

While I expect things to even out more over the course of the season, who would have put the Mavs .5GB of 2nd in the West and Houston out of the playoffs?

I think while they're still nursing guys back to full health, coupled with Carlisle's reluctance to play junior players a lot of minutes, is driving using Dirk more during games early on. Dirk seems to have found his fourth or fifth wind, but yeah it just might backfire come February or March

I know we are all beaten down by the bad luck of DFW sports teams lately, but this team has something I think. Will be interesting to see when parsons is fully healthy/not limited minutes and Matthews knocks all the rust off. Shooting for below his career percentages, but locking it down on defense.

On a related note, I would think Dirk's minutes will go down once Parsons is playing in the 30s

So glad the Mavs and Dirk in particular are stuffing it in his stupid face. This guy apparently is the only announcer ever to be kicked out of an NBA game by a ref.

we just forced 2 threes, and then a bad force into dirk when they were denying him as our last 3 possessions. Game was there to take. I'm looking forward to parsons being fully back, I think he needs to step up and have the ball at the end.
