Ooh, maybe he's coming back!

I'll still cheer for DeAndre. I just wish he didn't play for that @sshat chris paul and LAC.

Translation:
It's totally not you, you are awesome. I just have a lot of history with this other team. My time with you is something I'll never forget. If things were different we could be awesome together. If I'm ever in town again I'll call you.

Sources say he's going to retract his apology tomorrow.

After the tweets were published, Cuban told ESPN.com via his Cyber Dust messaging app that he still has not had any communication with Jordan since Tuesday night. Cuban said Jordan's mother, Kimberly, called him, but he declined to elaborate on that conversation.

Yeesh. If that's true, it may actually make me respect Jordan even less.

Such a strange situation. If you're going to apologize, why do it only over twitter and then have your freaking mom call the person you should be calling to apologize??? Seriously, wtf?

The 39% FT shooting is just another example of his childish behavior. No reason at all that he can't shoot 55 - 60%, but he chooses not to grow up.

Probably cost Cuban $300,000,000. 144 characters fixes that, right? [\39% FT shooter logic]

In honestly wonder if it isn't run by someone in the Spurs organization.

I don't agree with him often, but Cowherd'd point on this is right: players have agents to deal with owners. Jordan has one. Cuban acting like he expected a call from a player is silly. You deal with agents.

But he wouldn't talk to his agent either.

Anything you had to say was invalid after uttering the words "I agree with Cowherd".

Cowherd also said DJ's agent and Cuban are buddy buddy. FWIW.

So Cuban never met with DJ face-to-face? And DJ never gave Cuban his commitment, just communicated it through his agent?

I did. Him cutting out his agent is on his agent.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever read. He has every right to cut out his agent. But if he does then it doesn't give him carte blanche to do whatever he wants and just be a dick and not tell anyone he's changed his mind.

If he believed his agent was working more for Cuban than for him he sure does. And as Cuban would be complicit in that, he should expect to get cold shouldered.

Cuban would have to be pretty damn stupid here to claim he was expecting a call from Jordan.
Jacques

At the point in time his agent couldn't get him on the phone, it should have been clear to his agent and Cuban that the jig was up on their relationship and its impact on Jordan.

When you think your agent is too close to the owner this is what you do. Most of you guys would be OUTRAGED if you believed that someone that was supposed to be working for you had other interests in mind while he was working your deal. You'd feel as though you were taken advantage of.

Cuban seems to claim he can't get that. im not buying that. I think he's embarrassed that he didn't read this situation better before...or worse, embarrassed he was caught trying to take advantage of it.

You cannot be ****ing serious. Jordan partied for days with Cuban and agreed verbally to take $80M of Cuban's money. He absolutely owed Cuban a phone call at least to say "Thanks for the good times. I've had a change of heart, but I enjoyed getting ****ed up with you and sorry to let you down." But it's pretty apparent that Jordan is too much of a ***** to be a decent human being about the situation.

Nope. Cuban got caught working too close with his agent. That's what this is about.
Jacques

Would you politely call Cuban if you thought he had worked with your agent against your best interests? Yes or no.
Ulrich

You'd have a better case if Jordan hadn't been in the NBA for seven years already with a major (and controversially large) contract renegotiation under his belt.

Jordan's agent may or may not be a sleazeball who is in bed with Cuban, but Jordan is still a grown man making his own decisions.
