I totally agree. What a freaking pansy. People have changes of heart, but waiting until the day of FA signings to do this was bad, and now camping out in his house with his Clippers buddies while ignoring the Mavs reps is absolutely ridiculous. I've never even heard of anything like this before.

I hope his idol Dez Bryant calls him up and rips him a new one for treating the city like this. People have doubts and second-guesses, but handling the situation like DJ did today is bush league and completely unwarranted. Refused contact with the man who offered you $80 million. Waiting until literally the last minute before signing day to make any kind of acknowledgement. Sad to see this happen to a player I think we all once supported - but I guess he didn't learn anything during his time at A&M. Too bad. Best of luck to him figuring things out, but I wish him and the Clippers organization nothing but failure on the court. And with an organization as cursed and hopeless, I don't think I'll have much to worry about there.

Assuming this does go bad for the Mavs and they tank next year, I'd be ok with every game against the clippers turning into hack-a-shaq against DJ from the opening tip until the last man fouls out with 2 minutes to go in the first half...</bitterMavsFan>

You can't foul everyone out. If a player is disqualified and there is no one to sub in, you get a personal foul and the team gets a technical foul.

Happened with the Lakers a couple years ago.

So theoretically, you could keep fouling him every single time until the game is over.

It certainly changed the way I look at him. I can understand that he changed his mind over the weekend, but bringing in the LA contingent at the last possible minute and then ignoring Cuban's calls was unbelievably immature and disrespectful. If a guy offers you an 80 million dollar contract and you agree to it, you need to have the testicular fortitude to tell him so if you change your mind. The freaking end.

Instead he pulled this hiding out in his house trick. I mean WTF? Is he 16? This is like a college recruiting story, except Jordan turns 27 in a couple weeks.
