Tom Penn and PJ Carlesimo rank their too early Top 5 teams in the West.

Spoiler: PJ really struggles to operate the video board.

@ESPNSteinLine: Story going online now: ESPN sources say Clippers lobbying DeAndre Jordan to reverse his decision to join Dallas and stay in LA with Clips

Please don't happen. I don't want LAC to stay as good as they were.

Yeah, as funny as that would be watching the Mavs cry, I don't want him going back to LAC. This is a good dilution of the West talent with him in Dallas.

Can't imagine Jordan would renege, but it would sure be fun to watch the fallout.

But yeah, I'd rather see Jordan in Dallas.

i picture the clippers looking like this:

Dude I'm 99% sure it ain't happening. This is psych 101. Cuban and co. courted him and rolled out the red carpet, and Jordan loved it. Not only that, but coming to terms with Dallas required him to convince himself that LAC wasn't properly using his talents, that Paul was a jerk, that he deserved more respect than he was getting, etc., and that he would improve his lot in all those areas by moving to Dallas. He made that decision and has had days to come to grips with his reasoning. So now, in his mind, all of those things are established facts. Basically, Jordan's mentally and emotionally moved on from the Clippers and I don't think Rivers can undo that in a couple of hours.

Think about big moves in your life. Once you've weighed the options, arrived at a decision, and truly made peace with it, you simply don't go back unless you receive a hugely jarring bit of new data (which Rivers won't have. It'll just be "come on, we'll use you more. Chris Paul ain't so bad. You and Blake are buds!").

plenty of people have accepted job offers and decided that staying with your current company, despite all of the morons and bull**** that goes on, ended up being the better situation. Don't act holier than thou here

Kind of a different situation

Not sure I get the holier than thou comment, but whatever.

Now reports are saying he was never that comfortable with the Dallas signing and that he reached out to LA so I guess this does have legs.

The Ticket is reporting that Deandre reached out to Doc on Monday so that throws all of that out the window.

Portland giving Enes Kanter a 4 yr $70M max that includes a trade kicker. If OKC matches, it will take their salaries up to $97M, which would mean about a $22M tax bill. So they could be gearing up to unload some contracts because it's unlikely they'll let Kanter walk.

Nice! I was hoping Dallas or Portland would give Kanter a deal to screw over the Thunder.
Guitarsoup

Also, the Thunder was $2mm over the tax line last year, so they qualify for repeat offender status.

Are they really going super deep into Luxury Tax hell for Enes Kanter, but wouldn't for James Harden?
