If you are just going to say which team won in the least amount of games possible, that's fine, but it doesn't really take into account which team was the most dominant and who they dominated. That would be the way to evaluate it if you didn't want to think at all.

2014 Spurs margin of victory over 2014 Heat >>>>> 2007 Spurs margin of victory over 2007 Cavs

These far outweigh the 2014 Heat winning one game by a measly two points.

Winning 4 out of 4 games is more dominant than winning 4 out of 5 games. The W or L is how teams are measured not points per possession, margin of victory, or SOS.

96 Bulls were easily one of the greatest teams of all times, but the did not dominant the finals like several others.

Technically 1906 is right about the 07 Spurs being more dominant than the 96 Bulls in their respective finals series, but what he doesn't get is that nobody is trying to argue that. What they are talking about is the dominance on a historical level. Nevertheless, the '14 Spurs were one of the most dominant teams in NBA finals history both on a historical level and just looking at their series in a vacuum.
