A friend of mine took his son to the last regular season game between the Rockets and the Mavs in Dallas. Their seats were 2 rows behind the Mavs bench. They got there really early for pregame shoot around.
They were up close because the rockets come out of the tunnel down there in that corner. So they're getting autographs.
Howard is the last guy still shooting and some guy in the crowd says, "hey, Howard, 50 bucks says you can't make that 3!" Howard looks at him and says, "I'll take that bet," and drains it. He walks right over to the guy and puts his hand out and says, "pay up." The startled guy fumbles thru his wallet, 1 not expecting him to make it, and 2 not thinking he'd make him pay. So he gives him 2 20s and a 10.
He walks right over to my buddy's son and hands him one of the 20s, the kid next to him a 20 and walks past one more kid and gives him a 10.
