This is what I meant. It was pretty common grabbing and wrapping up that happens quite a bit in the NBA. But Olynik isn't playing for the Cobra Kai and trying to put Kevin Love out of commission.

Yeah that crap happens roughly 10-15 times a game. The bigs always grab and hold each other down low, Celtics player got on the wrong side of the play, should have let go, but he didn't. Crappy play, but nothing dirty.

Then that must mean the majority of NBA bigs on a long rebound must want to dislocate their opponents' shoulders. Pretty common to see a grab like that.

Depends on what kind of damage was done internally when he dislocated it. Theoretically, you can have no damage. But even if it doesn't feel too bad, there can be some surgery-worthy issues. Plus, once you dislocated a shoulder, the chances of you dislocating it again (without surgery or PT) shoot up to 90%.

Could he keep playing in the series/post season? Maybe. But if you're thinking about his career, it's probably not a smart idea.

Do you really think that was the same play as what just happened? he has both hands on Love's arm, and is pulling down and away from his body...thats not jockeying for position, he was trying to hurt him.

NBA players grab and pin arms like that constantly. Probably happens 20 times a game. Would need to see the video to see if Olynyk then tried to pull/twist Kevin Love's arm.

To say he tried to dislocate his arm is stupid, but that is not what Love is saying. Love is saying that it was a dirty play and that he was trying to hurt him, which by watching the video I agree. That was not just an innocent play
