I could see my heart beating through my shirt for the last ten minutes of game time. Feel like I just ran five miles. What a great game. Patti Mills is stone cold. Love that little guy.
Tim Duncan... 28 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a block with only one turnover. Remarkable in this day and age that he did it without 15 trips to the free throw line like a lot of today's stars do. He attempted just one free throw, and I'm not complaining that he was getting fouled. Just good, clean basketball.
Danny Green quietly had a really nice game, although his only noticeable stat is going 3 of 4 from three. Kawhi dropped 23 and 9 on >50% shooting, so although I would have liked to see him get a couple buckets at the end of the game when they were so hard to come by, I can't complain too much.
Hard to fathom winning a road game when Parker and Splitter combine for 0-7 for 3 points, the team shot 32% from three, and the Clippers had Manu totally scouted and beat him to everything he wanted to do. I'm pretty sure he got away with about seven travels when he got stuck holding the ball on the move because the Clippers covered up the pass he wanted to make. On the plus side, Manu is as good as anyone at figuring out what the defense is doing and figuring out a way to exploit it, so look for a strong bounce back game three.
Here's hoping the shooters have that home court touch that they usually do; way too many missed open threes so far in the series. In general, I'd say that the offense is working, the shots just won't drop.
