So, clearly the coach of the year is going to come down to Kerr vs. Budenholzer. And while I definitely think one of these guys should win (I'd lean towards Budenholzer), there's a third guy that I haven't heard mentioned who should be getting some serious consideration.
Brett Brown for the 76ers should be getting some real consideration. This is not a joke. How the **** does that team have 18 wins? It is absolutely mind boggling to me that they got to 8 wins. Their roster, just based off of names, expectation and experience, is the worst I have ever seen. The fact that this team likely won't finish with the worst record in the league and might even finish ahead of 3 other teams (ahead of 2 at the moment) is a minor miracle. Plus, he's doing this all while ownership is doing all it can to make the roster worse throughout the year (for the most part I agreed with what Hinkie did this season). I know he won't win the award but Brett Brown should deserve some consideration. He's made a team that should have been in the running for worst of all time to just really bad. Hell of a job, coach.
