Thank you for sharing. I have literally no clue what your talking about

I do know that Lebron dropped 42 on Curry's freight train named Golden State. 11 boards and 5 assists too

I'm guessing your being sarcastic. You can't possibly be that dumb.

I'll play along though with this MVP stuff since your thread of whatever it initially was about was derailed into MVP talk.

If the season ended tonight I'd have 1. Curry 2. Lebron 3. Hardin with Westbrook being essentially tied with Hardin

I predict LeBron will win it though. Like a shark that smells blood, LeBron is about to go on a tear with Rose out and the Cavs finally meshing. His best basketball this season is about to be on display

I haven't heard any convincing cases for anyone getting MVP except James Harden and certainly not LBJ.

His statisics are very similar to Harden's. He is shooting for a better percentage than Harden as far as 2 point shots go.

The Cavs were a dumpster last year. In comes Lebron and now they're on pace to coast into the playoffs with ease. He's also the best player on the planet. with that said, I can't see how anyone would say "certainly not LBJ"

Harden vs LeBron

Harden leads the league in: Field goals, field goals missed, field goal attempts, 3-point shots missed, turn overs, average points per game and total points, (averaging 1.2 points more than LeBron)

LeBron:
.491 FG%, .728 FT%, 75 Steals, 32 blocks, 282-Total rebounds, 357-assists, 210 turn overs
Harden: .450FG%, .855 FT%, 111 Steals 46 blocks, 329- Total rebounds, 392-assists, 228 turn overs

Mins played: 2090 (Harden) Lebron is not in the Top 20 of the league

Harden Win shares - 12.0 (leads the league easily with Curry second at 10.6)
LBJ Win shares - 6.9

Harden Defensive win shares - 3.2 (5th in the entire league, should put to rest the one way player argument)
LBJ Defensive win shares - 1.9 (49th in the league)

Harden PER - 27.1
LBJ PER - 25.8

Rockets - 3rd in the west
Cavs - 3rd in the east

The closest players to Harden when you look at the advanced statistics overall are probably Curry, Davis, Westbrook.

Then I like to go back and look at who are on the teams of the MVP candidates

Rockets - Howard (injured a lot) et al
Cavs - Love, Irving, et al
GSW - Thompson et al
OKC - Durant (injured a lot) et al
NO - out of the playoffs, doesn't matter

How does someone make an argument for Lebron over Harden? At this point it's a three man race of guards from the Western Conference

Again, LeBron's stats are about as good as anyones. To include the ones you're referring too. He's also shot the Cavs from a dumpster team to a contender. As long as he's considered the greatest basketball player on Earth and he's healthy for most of the season (which he has been) you have to put him in the MVP discussion

Its early but in two games (since I made this prediction) LeBron has scored 64 points in 2 games. Tonight he scored 27 in 26 mins.

The only argument for LeBron is that many folks just believe best player should get it and believe LBJ is the best, most dominant player. However, I would not vote for him...at least not top 2.

I would say it is a two man race, with Curry followed by Harden based on how I think people will vote.

ESPN just last week showed the results from a online betting site. They echoed what I had said previously

1. Curry
2. LeBron
3. Harding
4. Westbrook

Since the 90s (as far back as I can find) the player that led the league in Triple Doubles didn't win the MVP except for LeBron in 09-10.

Maybe not a great stat to judge the MVP by.
