I will be with my elderly dad at the Rockets-Wizards game on the 29th, and he doesn't walk well. What are the best options for parking? Is it worth it to spend $31 for parking in a surface lot by the Center? Thank you all for your help.

If your top criteria are safe and accessible then the parking garage is definitely your best bet.

I have been to probably 20 Rockets games at Toyota and I have always just parked on the street for free. Most of the time you can find a space near discovery green.

Call to see about valet. Your dad will walk plenty inside stadium so make it easier outside stadium.

Plenty of pay lots that are $10 or$15 close by but I usually park in the street after 6 for free

If he doesn't mind waiting by the entrance, you can drop him off there. There are a number of places to sit. Then you can go park the car. Just head south on La Branch and stay in the left lane. The left lane will have cones to keep people from using it for driving, but you can pull in there to drop your dad off, then pull back out.
