I didn't read every post, but I don't think I saw anything too egregious on the rockets thread that warranted staff putting out an ultimatum like that.

Say goodbye to James Harden's MVP chances. In a game that was must win to get the 2 seed, he went 5-19 for 16 points and got stuffed on the last play of the game.

MVP for Stephon Curry.

Not by Spurs fans. All the bad comments were made by Rockets fans.

GS was stirring the pot, but yeah, most of trashy posts were done by Houston fans.

Edit: looks like GS caught the bans, but so did a Houston poster.

Good Game Spurs. I never wanted any part of you guys in the playoffs. Hopefully we don't meet till conference finals.

I thought it was a foul on the last play. But it was real close. Either way that game was awful. It was brutal to watch. The officiating was just beyond awful. The hack a crap is stupid. It's legal and I don't think it's cheap, but it is stupid. There is no other singular part of a person's game that can be so easily isolated. I think it is ridiculous. Simmons fix of teams choice for off ball fouls being team choice of foul shots or ball out of bounds is so easy to implement it is a shame it isn't already a rule.

This was a bigger game for the Rockets than Spurs and I fear that the loss will kill them. They worked hard ask year and fought through injuries but it may all amount to nothing more than a 6 seed. That's demoralizing. Kawhi is the perfect defender against Harden and Dmo/Bev are 2 huge pieces in decreasing the Spurs. I know Splitter has made huge strides for you this year, Dmo did the same for us and losing him hurts more against the Spurs than any other team.

After watching it a few times, Tim hits the ball and pushes it towards the bottom of the back board. Hard to see live, but if anything, it was a good no call live. The trajectory of the ball definitely favors a block over a foul at regular speed.

Blatant fouls were let go throughout the game on both sides. The refs were calling chippy off ball, and on ball stuff, but not much under the basket when driving the lane. Bottom line, the refs sucked for both teams.

The refs are the very reason why i'd hesitate to face HOU in the postseason. These games are just going to get chippy by nature, and it'll yield more finishes like tonight.

Watching it live I thought it was a foul. Even on the initial replay I thought it was a foul. The replay from above, though, clearly shows a clean block before the arm contact.

Good no call.

Honestly it's a 50/50 call at the end if the game. I see both sides. Yes he got some ball first, but he got a ton of arm after. I've seen that call 100 times and half the time its a foul, half the time it isn't. Rocket fans, like me, say its definitely a foul. Spurs fans say its definitely a no call. Either way, the officiating tonight was awful all night. They set no tone and you could see the frustration of the players in not knowing what would be a foul . And every single flop on both sides was rewarded. Just awful. I would rather be out of the playoffs than watch 7 games officiated and played like that.

Wow, this is what gets taken from my post. And then you guys complain about not being able to have basketball discussions.

Yeah, I'm dead wrong, that's why numerous commentators including one on ESPN just now have said they thought it was a foul. Come on, seriously.

FTFY

There is no debate, there was no foul, no matter how hard anyone wants to believe it. Duncan hit ball first, and had incidental contact after the block which is allowed for in the rules, as long as it is a normal basketball movement, which it was.

Full speed it could go either way. Fwiw I didn't think it was a foul and thankfully the replay helps show that.

You must not have read what Rockets fans were posting tonight to get upset at that.

You're right in that live, it looks 50/50 if not at the end of the game. Last play of the game? I bet that gets called maybe 25% of the time, maybe. But if you look at the top angle, and the trajectory of the ball, it's pretty clear Timmy got a lot of ball before touching Harden's arm.

A good no call, since it wasn't a foul.

Hoping to see Splitter back on Sunday....even though we don't need him.

It's the last thing to check off before the playoffs now that Patty finally showed back up for a change. I knew Patty still had big buckets left in the tank.

Not mad. I just thought it was a little crazy and hypocritical that after all this talk about how Rockets fans don't allow any talk about basketball the only thing that gets taken out of my post is that it is 100% not a foul even when I personally admitted its close and probably a 50/50 call. I mean if i said it was definitely a foul I get the response. Whatever.

About half my family is a Spurs fan so i do appreciate the game and consistency they have. The response i got just threw me off a bit I guess.

Have fun, I won't be back to bother yall

It's because you basically had one of those "sorry tang I'm not sorry" or likewise moments. Your whole statement was predicated on that sentence. Snide ass remark. Don't be a sore loser

It ended up being a great finish. That game felt like a whole season of basketball wrapped into one night.

Howard should have fouled out in the first ten minutes of the game. 11 years in the league and he still leads every pick and every post move with his elbows. What a goon. Baynes outplayed him tonight, Howard just got the most ridiculous sequence of favorable calls I've ever seen. What was it, three times that he threw an elbow at a vertical defender and the defender got called for a foul?

I think the Spurs would have ended up winning by a very comfortable margin if it weren't for that stretch early in the fourth where the refs decided to put the Rockets back in the game. Poor officiating all game long, occasionally in the Spurs favor but a ton of home cooking.

Duncan is a basketball god. They say you never beat father time, but Timmy has pushed him to overtime. 29 points on 80% shooting and 10 boards with two assists, a steal, and three blocks including the gamewinner? Oh, and the Spurs broadcast showed an angle where it was obviously not a foul. He got the ball clean. Even Harden wasn't complaining after the play.

Kawhi ended up with 18-9-2-4. Fortunately he was knocking down jumpers for a stretch there, but when the Rockets adjusted he didn't get more aggressive going to the basket. I think that series of inexplicable missed layups got in his head a little. I thought we had a chance to open up another 6-8 point lead toward the end, but Kawhi kind of bailed them out by settling for long jumpers on several possessions instead of backing down smaller defenders.

TP and Green sucked tonight. Combined 1 of 14 for two points. The Spurs were 23.5% from three; take out Mills' 3-3 (HUGE, by the way. Hope he's got it back) and everyone else combined to shoot 7.3%. Very lucky to escape with a win. Another sloppy, chippy game against the Rockets.

Houston loses one game and drops from 2nd to 6th at 53-26. Meanwhile in the East, there are three playoff teams with losing records and the two seed is 51-28.

Has nobody seen Harden's arm go straight into Tim's neck on that last play?

If anything, they both fouled each other, but since that's a stupid call, no call was the right way to go.

It's basketball. They are grown ass men sharing a small piece of floor. Contact is expected.
