Weird that the DPoY and future HOFer is in the mid-400s. I assume that was a typo.

Harden at 4 and Dwight at 7 seems a bit high. I mean I'm all for it, but as a Rockets fan, I'm not sure I would rank them that high up

I think in the 2014 list, Harden will be 5 or 6, and Howard around 9. Just a guess.

That SI list is hot garbage. Kenneth Faried is the 77th best player in the NBA? Okay.

Anxiously awaiting comments on Duncan landing at 5th.

His late career awards are pretty odd. A two year absence from any accolades, then all-defense and first team All-NBA in 2013, then in 2014 doesn't make all-NBA, all-defense, or even the all-star team yet lands in the SI top 5 as the best big man in the game.

Anthony Davis will be the 3rd best player after Bron and KD this season. Complete monster.

Lin at 100. I'm not a Lin hater, but really? For perspective, they have Bev at 103.

Kobe comes in at 40, bout right since he's played 6 games and is coming back from injury since early 2013.

Lol at that CBS list... They need to stick to the NCAA. Horford better than Aldridge? SI has Horford in at #25... Seems a little more reasonable.

Kobe throws a fit because ESPN ranked him #40

Kawhi at 24 is too low. He should be in the 15-20 range, imo.

Given the Rondo trade, where does he rank among point guards?

Here is what was written on the 5 for 5 on ESPN:

quote:
Ford: He's a third-tier point guard. Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry and Tony Parker are in the first tier. John Wall, Kyle Lowry, Mike Conley, Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard are in that next tier. Rondo is in the third tier along with Kyrie Irving, Jeff Teague, Ty Lawson, and Jrue Holiday. So he's somewhere in the 10-15 range.

I think it depends on what you valuate in a PG. Like I think Ty Lawson is very underrated at the 10-15 range. I think Rondo is in the conversation for the top 5 but who does he replace? Parker has been eh this year-to-date. I would replace him with Wall anyways.

My top 5:
Paul
Westbrook
Curry
Wall
Lowry

Right now CP3 is behind Curry and Westbrook, just my opinion. Parker is right there.
