Memphis needs shooters to space the floor. They can afford his poor D for stretches with Gasol behind him. Pretty good deal for the Griz and Vince.
Tayshaun Prince and Vince Carter as running mates would have been a nice combo a couple presidencies ago.

3 years is too long for Carter. Mavs fans said he wasn't great this year and I can only imagine he either gets bought out or Vince Carter's expiring contract and sits the bench by year 3.
Vince had a respectable 3FG%, but not really anything else.

Yes, parsons offer sheet impeded ability to resign Vince. Will be interesting to see how they respond.
Reports are bulls in the lead for Gasol. Would be a great power move for them to pair gasol with Noah, that would be an excellent PF/C combo.

Bulls have to move Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson to have cap space to pull that off. Easy to do (Amnesty and anyone would take Taj) but I don't think the Bulls+Gasol-Taj-Booz is any better.

Deng taking 2y/20mm from Miami.
Isn't the Mavs only legit competition for Lance the Pacers? I haven't heard of anyone else going after him.
A few people have put out feelers. Lance has already turned down 5/44mm. That's a lot of time/money for someone that crazy. He is talented, but such a ticking time bomb.
I find it amazing that the agents for Deng and Ariza didn't wait until the Parsons thing was finalized.
Deng would have been a perfect fit in Dallas, but I can't really blame him for choosing Miami over Dallas.
That's a bargain on Miami's part. Whoever ends up with Parsons made a bad deal. Sometimes bad deals are a necessary evil to take a shot at a run, but I was thining it would be a 3-4MM premium over Deng and Ariza, not 5-7.
