Yeah. I think Dwight is a ***** as much as the next guy, but you can't tell me that Asik will ever dive to the bucket on a pick and roll the way Dwight can. And Dwight's post game may lack refinement, but it beats the hell out of Asik's.

I think Asik is a legit starting C in the league, and I think Dwight is a little overrated, but he's clearly better

Nobody knows how this team will adjust yet, so the jury is out (I'm obviously not confident). But that team had two elite perimeter defenders in their primes or approaching their primes playing with chips on their shoulders. In the East. With Pat Riley guiding the way.

The Rockets have the worst perimeter defense in the league and a fresh-off-injury Howard being led by Kevin McHale. Playing in a loaded West as always.

Call me crazy, but I don't envision the Rockets making it to the Finals this year.

Nobody has penciled them in as Western Conference champions already. They very well may not make it this year. But to say that this team is better without Dwight is just ridiculous. We were an 8th seed last year without him. If we are the 8th seed this year or worse, then I will admit that you are right. But I don't think I'm going to have to worry about that

I don't think the Rockets are a Finals caliber team right now either. But if they can get a perimeter defender for Asik, then that will change things dramatically.

Not sure if the numbers would work, but I'd move Asik to Boston for Avery Bradley and a pick. Probably one of the 10 best perimeter defenders in the NBA.
