You have to take chances. They didn't fire del negro after arguably their best season for nothing. If they think doc gets them over the hump as a true contender then it's not that difficult of a decision. And if Paul's decision was tied to that then the couple of first rounders to keep the best pg in the league (apologies to tony parker) its even easier

Oh and I would love to be hired as any gm of any sports team. Even hockey

Looks like the league is disallowing the trade.

What would be hilarious is if the Clippers paid 2 firsts for the Celtics to release Doc, thinking they had a deal in place for $7mm. Then Junior Buss jumps in and offers him $10mm/year a la Utah with Carlos Boozer a decade ago. I would never stop laughing. Ever.
