I agree it's gonna be a really tough series and see the Spurs winning in 6 or 7.

Spurs in 6. Home teams win first 4 then Spurs win next 2 for the series.

Grizzlies in 6. Unfortunately.

The Spurs showed great D in this last series. But we are way too inconsistent on offense.

Hope I'm wrong.

I think a lot of the problems on offense came from perimeter defenders being exhausted from guarding GS's guards.

Granted, in this series that will be inverted. Our bigs are going to get tired and abused banging with Gasol and Randolph. But outside of Conley, we don't really have to worry about Memphis's perimeter players. They are pretty one dimensional outside of Conley.

If Parker can play through his injury and Ginobili can have a couple of big games, I like our chances. I think it will go 7 games, maybe 6 depending upon Ginobili. I really think he is the one who will make a difference. I think Leonard is gaining a lot of confidence and is putting together a Paul George like game; he can score, but he fills up the stat sheet is so many different ways that even when he has an off night scoring you can't take him off the court.

Green should shoot a lot better this series, as he won't be guarding Curry and Thompson. Conley is good, but his game isn't based on running around like a crazy person off of screens and shooting the ball from anywhere and everywhere on the court and making it at a high clip. His legs should be a little more under him and allow him to shoot a higher percentage from 3.

Have a feeling all the media is gonna go with Memphis, I see ESPN has already started that off.

The Grizzlies have some annoying guards to play against. Don't be fooled, they are more than just Conley, Randolph, and Gasol.

I still think the Grizzlies take the Spurs in 6 or less. Tony and Manu have just looked too bad overall in these playoffs. They hit some big shots, but Memphis won't let you hang around if you play that badly on offense.

Tony only looked bad tonight.

Going to be a tough series. Looking at Parker limp up and down the court is a really bad sign for SA and the quick turnaround benefits Memphis in a HUGE way.

The three days rest between games 2 and 3 will help the Spurs but I'm not sure how they will look in games 1 and 2. It unfortunately could very well be a split.

I'll say Spurs in 7 but this could go a lot of different ways.

and not sure how anyone could call Tony bad in these playoffs. He's obviously battling through tons of injuries and playing his heart out. Has also played amazing at times vs GS and even tonight when he struggled mightily, hit the two biggest shots of the game.

They may have "annoying" guards, but outside of Conley there aren't a lot of huge scoring threats. Pondexter is a good spot up shooter, and Bayless is a good guy off the bench, but after seeing Curry/Thomspon/Jack/Barnes last series, I'm sure they're all much happier with the matchups they'll be facing this go around.

How bad is Parker's injury? Because he's having his best statistical playoffs ever.

Is Ginobili injured or just old?

Is Duncan fighting through injuries this year?
TheDino
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think Tony is just bruised and banged up.

Manu is old.

I don't think Duncan is injured. He is also old. But he's been pretty good these playoffs.

Defensively, the Spurs will play the Grizz much like the Lakers series; pack the paint and force them to beat you from the outside. I'm still concerned about rebounding with Gasol and Randolph inside and the way our defensive rebounding looked the first 3 games of the GS series. However, the last 3 games we rebounded 100x better. Hopefully it translates over. IMO, Ginobili is going to be the biggest factor in the Spurs success. If he can get going just a little, Spurs win the series.

I think if two of the big three have good games and the role players do what they're supposed to do the Spurs win that game, A bad night for Duncan or Parker is scoring less than 15-18 points on subpar shooting. Ginobili is all over the place. He will probably swing one game in our favor, have one or two where he teeters on the abyss of being the scapegoat/savior, then have one or two where he is a total nonfactor.

If Leonard and Green can step up in those games where one or two of the big three are struggling, I like our odds. I think Duncan will have a good series when anybody other than Gasol is guarding him. Randolph isn't athletic enough and nobody else has the size to handle him. Rotations for both teams should be interesting.

Spurs in 6. ZBo is not the same player he was the last time around. Splitter us much better on D than people give him credit for. Parker will be the Spurs leading scorer.

I think Tony Allen is going to neutralize TP. Others have to step up.

Nice 3 day break after game 2. Should benefit us MUCH more than the Grizz.

First off, crazy that we've never played Houston in the playoffs before.

2nd, I like beating everyone in the conference at least once as that stat suggests.

Rebounding in this series will be better as long jumpers usually end up with longer rebounds, which favors the offense I believe. Memphis will go through Gasol and Randolph and there won't be as many long rebounds.

ABC? ESPN? Damn. I was hoping for some TNT coverage instead but they have the East Finals.

Also, Memphis isn't hitting outside shots. Quincy Poindexter is the only person on the team hitting over 33% of his threes.

As a team, Memphis is only shooting 43% for the playoffs and 31% from three. Spurs are at 46%/36%. Spurs are even hitting 77% of their FTs with Duncan at 85% for the playoffs.

There won't be as many long rebounds, but Randolph and Gasol are a formidable offensive rebounding duo. They'll root out a lot of rebounds in this series.

There are going to be a bunch of low scoring games in this series. Going to be rough.

Whoever win the rebound game, wins the series.

Since the playoff series two years ago, it seems like the Spurs have done quite well on the boards in the regular season games that they won.
