Lebron has 4MVPs. He's not far behind Kobe

I think when it's all said and done, Lebron will generally be considered the second greatest ever. The sad thing is that if he had even half of Kobe's heart he could surpass MJ as the greatest.

I've never thought LeBron shows a lack of heart.

took a LOT of heart to get those Cleveland teams as far as he did.

You sound like Skip Bayless.

There is a laundry list of people who agree that he is soft. Lebron loves to win, but he doesn't hate to lose. He isn't cut from the same cloth as guys like MJ and Kobe when it comes to that.

If you think Lebron is soft....you obviously either (a) are biased because you don't like him to begin with OR (b) you don't watch him play often except for maybe a few playoff games

That argument is weak....

He's pretty good at this basketball thing.

if only the 24 hour sports news cycle and twitter were around when MJ played...he'd be equally as hated as Lebron is in this country by the morons who can't see past the bull****.

Lebron is way past Kobe. It was true last season; this season made it painfully obvious for anyone who isn't a Laker homer.

he's been better than kobe since 2006-2007 season

'06-'07 Lebron was better than '06-'07 Bryant, but that could be explained away as Kobe hitting the downside of his career while Lebron was at his peak. It wasn't necessarily clear that Lebron's body of work showed that he is better over the course of his career than Bryant.

Six years later Lebron is still getting better every season. He has a title, a finals MVP, and 4 regular season MVPs, none of which are career achievement awards like Bryant's MVP (he should have been 3rd in the voting after Lebron and Paul).

the lakers were god awful this year with kobe. he didn't deserve to be in the top 3 of the MVP voting. I would've put tony parker #3
Ulrich

Bryant should have been third in 2008, not this year.

Kobe doesn't even have close to the heart LeBron does. Just because he backpacked Shaq to 3 titles doesn't mean he has heart. The only time he's faced any adversity is after Shaq left, and he didn't have all-world talent around him for the only time in his career. He managed to whine and complain about his teammates, miss the playoffs once, and barely make the playoffs the next year, then demand a trade only to re-neg on that once he had a few all-stars again.

The Heat were down 3-2 to the Celtics and playing on the road. Chris Bosh was still coming back from an abdominal strain, and Wade was playing like hammered dog **** the whole series. The ENTIRE world was waiting for LeBron to fail, but he came through with one of the best playoff performances of all time. That's heart.

That's not to mention his 40 point, 18 rebound, 9 assist game down 2-1 on the road to Indiana.

No one doubts that Kobe Bryant is one of the best players ever to play the game. By all regards he has an incredible work ethic, but so does LeBron. Anyone on this board acting like they're deeply in-touch with both players psyche's is ridiculous.

again, lemme know if kobe could ever score 25 points straight for the lakers in a playoff game when they were down in the 4th quarter

i'll give you a hint, he'd shoot the lakers out of the game

yup. That game vs Detroit with that crap Cleveland team was one of the most impressive performances I've ever witnessed. 25 straight and 29 of the final 30, on the road no less...good grief.

That sums it up perfectly!

No, you don't understand. If a player isn't taking 35 shots every game, he clearly doesn't care very much about winning.

If a player is afraid if the ball, air balls free throws, or quits on his team in the playoffs he doesn't care about winning.
