I didn't see game 4. Do you guys think we can end this in 6 at Oracle?

Yes. We won't miss as many free throws and wide up layups as we did in game 4.

No Blair or Bonner. Diaw can play more minutes.

I agree with the TMAC for Neal minutes. Lets see what he can do. Not like were going to miss anything. Gary has been absolutely horrible.

Great win though. We end this Thursday IMO.

Probably....but if they win the title this year it probably won't happen. I could see him retiring if they win.

Danny is stifling Curry. In game 6, I'd like to see Green work in a pump fake and baseline drive any time Bogut is out. Curry is going for the hard contest, and actually getting pretty decent pressure. Make him recover and try to get back in the play, and hopefully generate a layup or dunk.

It was pretty big that Bogut went out with a rolled ankle, btw.

I think they'll pull it off in 6... they are wearing the Warriors down. Every game they take something else away from the Warriors, and I think they've finally taken enough away that the Warriors can't score consistently. Time for the knockout punch.

Way too early sidebar: the Grizzlies are a worse matchup for the Spurs than the Heat are (other than that the Heat will shoot 11,000 free throws because Stern loves the Heat and hates the Spurs). Leonard and Diaw for Lebron, Green for Wade, Duncan or Splitter for Bosh... that's as good as anyone matches up with the Heat big 3, and on defense the Heat have no one to cover Duncan/Splitter/Diaw. At least this time around the Spurs have a ton of bodies they can throw at Randolph and Gasol. Also, the Spurs' secret weapon over the past decade is that they are one of the best if not the best small ball teams in the league.

Another thing about a Spurs/MIA series is that we have no 1s-vs.-1s game tape from this season. You really have no idea what you're going to get.

If they make it that far, they're going to hve to rely on TP, hope Kawhi can contain Lebron, hope Green can contain Wade, and be certain that Pop will coach circles around Spoelstra.

Was the first game I've seen in a while where the Spurs played really well. They might have something if they get on a roll. On offense they've always had good ball movement, but they capitalized on it last night.

Give the dang Warriors credit though... Spurs did not give them a ton of easy shots. A lot of tough contested shots, turnaround jumpers, etc... and the Warriors just kept on making them. This could have been a 25-30 point blowout, but the Warrior were once again annoying with the regular guys making super star shots. And at key times too... every time the Spurs were about to really pull away, somebody would knock down a 3. They finally relented in the 4th, but this thing could have been over at halftime if not for their average joes playing lights out.

Spurs weren't perfect (free throws!?), but it was by far a big improvement over any game they've played in a long while. It's a good time to start getting hot!!! Here's hoping last night wast the start of that.

The ball movement and off the ball movement in the first quarter was insane. I think they wore the Warriors out then, the rest of the game was just staying focused to finish the job.

I think against the Heat they'll deny the ball to Lebron and try to make Wade carry the team. Green can force Wade into the stupid fadeaways he loves to take anyway, and I'll take Pop over Spoelstra 100 times out of 100.

X-factor: Gary Neal only played 5 minutes. We won. Coincidence?

Pop would tell you that he has no idea what the X-factor is.

With Wade's knee issues, the Spurs have a pretty decent chance against the Heat

I've never feared the Heat that much. Not near as much as the Grizzlies.

Right now, I fear the Spurs missing their open shots again during tomorrow night's game 6.

I don't fear the Grizzlies. We have better big men than the Thunder and we have more than 1 consistent scorer. A hobbled Thunder team has kept the games to 2 & 6 point victories/losses. We can work with that.

Grizz are tough. The Spurs need to win Thursday so they can get 4 days rest before the WCF. The Spurs will desperately need to be completely healthy if they want to beat the Grizz or Heat.

I do like the way we match up with Memphis though and I will welcome a series where we don't have to worry about three dudes hitting 25 ft jumpers with a hand in their face all game.

Memphis does have the best front court in the league. But this isn't the 2011 Spurs. Now we have a regular rotation Splitter and the plump Frenchman. But let's get past GS before we start looking ahead. They aren't going to lie down.

2011 was tough.

Against out of his mind ZBo and out of his mind Gasol were:

Playing through injury Tim Duncan
Rookie Tiago Splitter
Final season Antonio McDyess
Matt Bonner at the peak of his playoff effectiveness (hitting 1/3rd of his threes!)

For the playoffs in 2011, ZBo/Gasol/Arthur averaged 54.3 and 24.2 combined. This year: 42.0 and 19.3.

Quincy Poindexter is the only person on the Grizz that is hitting threes - shooting 39% Spurs are getting over 35% from three in the playoffs from Leonard, Green, Ginobili, Diaw and Boner. Conley is second on their team in shots taken while hitting .399/.311.

I think the Spurs will do much better against the Grizz this year than in 2011.

Obviously Splitter and Diaw are huge upgrades over what we were trotting out there in 2011 and I think Leonard is the real x factor here.

Danny Green and Leonard should also be able to play Conley tough instead of the Spurs relying on Parker like they did in 2011.

Leonard should be able to help on the glass as well. People bring up offensive rebounds against Golden State as a problem and rightfully so but Memphis is a much different type of rebounding team. For one they don't shoot a bunch of 20+ jump shots all game resulting in "long" offensive rebounds and Golden State has been getting a lot of boards because of their quickness. Memphis is just big but we are big now as well.

My complete lack of focus in Scottsdale is DEFINITELY going to through Kawhi off. Especially since we call each other right before bed every night, and I won't shut up about his matchup with Lebron.

Sorry all!

If Grizzlies/Spurs both end in 6 - Game 1 of West Finals (Sunday 2:30, ABC) - if GSW/Spurs goes 7 games - Game 1 would be Tues at 8pm.

I now need this Spurs/Warriors series to go to 7 games.
