Mavericks are said to be involved in Raptors-Grizzlies trade, possibly with Vince Carter leaving Dallas with Jose Calderon arriving.

Dallas said no to the deal cause they were insistent on getting Carter. The Mavs must be thinking that he wasnt worth giving up for someone they would only have for a few months.

Mavs need to BLOW IT UP.

Doesn't seem like the Mavs will make any impact moves before the deadline, other than shedding salary. Kaman, Marion, VC would be the pieces I'd imagine.

Looks like we're all in on the D12 gambit (again). That seems like a horrible position to be in given his injury troubles and mental instability. I'd like to see us run at DMC too, but again, a mental midget with an attitude. Either of those guys would be good next to Dirk, however.

Brandon Jennings is a possible option. He's an impact player at a position of need and based on him switching agents he's expecting to move in the offseason.

Good 3 point shooter who can create off the dribble. Youngish, and not that expensive. Gotta work on the inopportune turnovers.

Call me crazy, but for some reason I feel the Mavs are going to go on a little run and make, or at least come very close to making, the playoffs.

You can tell the team is taking every game as a must win, which is encouraging.

In my opinion, we don't get the ball to Dirk enough, especially last night against Golden State. He was literally unstoppable but too many times we go away from him and settle for jump shots. But I am good Carter didn't go to him on the last play...crazy game.

vince carter is ballin. marion is playing really well. even elton brand is doing well.

He wasn't talking trash at all. Just said that they should consider it due to luxury tax fines but he can understand why it would be a bad business decision to do so just like he won't ever cut Dirk from the Mavericks.

I really don't mind Cuban saying stuff, tweating, etc. The man is ultra competitive and I respect that. He has been a great owner for Dallas and has accomplished much more than I thought he could. I met him at a UFC event in Dallas a few years ago and he was super nice.

As far as his point with the CBA, it really doesn't matter for the Lakers. If we pay $80 mil in lux tax so be it, the money is there from the media deal. That said, it sucks that a team like Dallas has to make such tough choices with a team icon like Dirk. There should be some cap relief/provisions for players who have been with a team 10+ years. That's just good for the fans and for the game.

I was at the game too. I love Carlisle but I put this loss on him. Why did he call a timeout in the 4th quarter when we had all the momentum? It was insane.

It was the stretch where Kobe hit 3-4 ridiculous shots in a row, but then we would go right back down and score quickly. Then we capitalized on a few Lakers turnovers and went up by 3 or 4 with the ball, and the crowd was finally pumped. Then he calls timeout...wtf? Carter was even begging him not to. There was absolutely no reason to call it there.

Of course, right after the timeout, all the momentum was gone. And then Dirk gets the tech, putting momentum on Lakers side, and the rest is history.

Also, he waited too long to put Dirk back into the game late in the 4th quarter. Watching the bench, Dirk was pretty pissed about it. We got the ball back and it was time to put Dirk in, Dirk stook up because he figured it was coming...but Carlisle doesn't put him in, we take an awful shot, then LA scores, and then he finally tells Dirk to get up and go in. Dirk threw his towel down (pretty obvious he was mad about not getting in earlier).

I love Carlisle, but thought he made some big mistakes yesterday.
