Stern blocked the first trade with CP3 because the Hornets didn't have an owner and the NBA essentially owned them. Stern was afraid of the backlash for the trade and thus decided to nix it.
I don't know if he has the ability to block the trade this time since all the GM's are in agreement, but I surely hope not.

Ironically though this may be better for Houston since they can finally bottom out and build through the draft. One year of Bynum where he bolts in free agency wouldn't have helped anything.
Bynum said he was willing to sign long-term if dealt to Houston.

I don't understand this from Orlando's POV at all. They had a much better deal from Houston as far as saving money. Why be a hardass about getting rid of Jason Richardson if you are going to take back Al Harrington, who makes more than Richardson.
