I am still bitter. Remember when stackhouse was suspended for sneezing near shaq in the finals? That sucked.

My worst nightmare is somehow the mavs make it to the finals vs the heat and wade gets 50 free throws the last two games.

BTW: has there been an easier road so far than the bulls? The pacers and atlanta? Would either of them make the playoffs in the west??

Atlanta beat a pretty solid Orlando team. I honestly think that series is a coin flip at this point. Remember that Indy held a fourth quarter lead over the Bulls in each of the first four games in that series. I don't think Chicago is ready for prime time yet. The winner of the Heat-Celtics series will be in the Finals.

Not saying that the Bulls have had a very tough path so far, but Indiana played A LOT better after their coaching change a few months ago. Also, the Bulls have not played up to their potential in the playoffs thus far. As is stands right now, I don't think they win the East. If they can get back to playing like they did the last couple months of the season, I think they'll win it all.

And as much as I think it's deserved, there is NO WAY the league suspends Rondo for Game 7. Never gonna happen.

That struck me too. In the timeout before that happened, I think JKidd said in his post-game interview that they said if something like that happened to just stay cool.

Still, I would have liked to see someone at least go over and get in Ron's face. Such a puzzy move to go after the tiniest guy on the court.

Yeah, run in like idiots and escalate a fight and then get suspended instead of just letting him get suspended. Sounds like a genius thing to do! That'll show him!

That's part of why I said he didn't get his money's worth on the suspension. you give a half assed forearm to the face then check if he's okay? really? Robert Horry knew how to deliver a message at the end of a blowout. Bruce Bowen knew how to hurt someone and make it look like a normal basketball play. Artest not so much

He didn't try to make sure he was OK. He never even looked down on him. He just walked around him with his hand on his head then his back. He knew exactly what he was doing and didn't give a care if JJ was OK or not.

Running and starting a melee for the Artest foul would be stupid. It could just mean getting some people suspended.

It's confirmed by the league office. One game suspension.

As a Mavs fan, I'd rather see "Mr. Citizenship Award" Artest than Barnes. Barnes is better at subtly getting into the Mavs' heads. Look for him to do some damage in game 3.

I was surprised to see Shawn Marion standing around with a stupid look after Barea got hit. Then again, that's probably just his face.

That's a fair suspension.

I was actually pleased with Marion's reaction. He was the only Maverick on that side of court. It would have been easy to lose control.

It looked like he started towards the action. Once it was clear that Artest was done, Marion didn't interfere. I think if Artest went completely bonkers, Marion would have stepped in.

Two points. Good coaching from Carlisle to give heads up on Artest losing his cool. We all sensed it coming.

And how pathetic is Artest. All 20k people in the building knew he was going to pull a stunt. Just like 20k people knew Dirk was going to seal the victory with whatever shot he dreamed up.
