The Aggies continue conference play tonight, against another top ten opponent in #7 Alabama.

Alabama is 9-1 on the year with a 2-0 mark in SEC play. That lone loss was a headscratching 4-6 shootout with Harvard. They have only allowed 4 goals outside of that game and have 6 shutouts on the year.

Bama seems beatable to me. Hoping Taylor can add something to our attack and not something they planned for as she has been out. Let's get the win.

No reason that we shouldn't lead at the half. We often had the ball in a dangerous possession but had little in the way of solid chances to show for it.

We constantly turn an offensive advantage into no shot.
Our midfield has been non existent. We just play kick ball over them.
And the defense regularly has spacing trouble when trying to advance the ball than leads to a turnover and a dangerous possession for the opponent.

C'mon, that isn't just spacing. It happens nearly every game with Sexton. Almost happened 3x that half.

I don't know anything about Alabama but they have a great ranking for not having any real threats on offense.

I thought this was a joke. Now I don't think it was.

As I suspected, Alabama is not very good. Not much of anything going on offensively, but a decent defense. Our game plan from the start was clearly for our center backs to bypass the mids and send it long. Even with that, would've been a tie without the awful give away in the back. And could've been a win if we finished some of those chances in the first half. But it's ok, we can just blame it on being a young team (again). Maybe we can generate anbother post about all our freshmen and the minutes they play.

Florida has a ton of speed and talent up front. They could easily score 5+ on us on Sunday.

Well at least we saw some adjustments but shortly after subbing we give up games only goal. Frustration continues. Tighten up your saddle it going to be a long season. We shall see how an inexperienced coach recovers from a terrible first year in today's college sports world.

That goal had nothing to do with subs coming in though, nor was it spacing. I like Taylor getting the start and thought she gave us some good minutes, but I don't think she is in shape to play as much as she did. As far as other changes, it feels like some players are given grace to make mistakes (even if costly) while others see reduced minutes. He certainly used a much shorter bench tonight.
