I can't remember who brought it up on here first, but I'd love the idea of letting teams select their opponents. Draw a ball and give that team a minute or two to get their team rep on stage with their list of the remaining teams they want from each pot for the open spots left on their schedule. If they don't make it on time, another ball gets drawn and they'll have to wait until afterwards.

Camera can pan around and show reactions from the teams they picked. It'd be glorious.

I have a friend from my middleshcool/highschool soccer team that plays for LASK, his dad was our coach. Seeing him score twice against Celtic to secure qualification was pretty cool, shame he missed the pen for the HT tho.

That was an incredible comeback to qualify!

It was unreal and seeing him take off his kit to show the Bible verse, along with the other American on LASK, really cool.

Quick take… Liverpool and Stuttgart are the big winners… very easy draws.

I'd say Bayern also got a favorable draw and is a favorite for top 2…

Atletico Madrid already felt a little unlike others in Pot 1. If they lose Alvarez or that situation just generally blows up on them, that's a dream draw for Liverpool and Bayern.

I disagree. It's not a bad draw, but Man U away is (at least on paper) the worst Pot 2 draw you could get. Arsenal's no slouch either.

Liverpool and Stuttgart got none of the strong teams in their pots, and for Pot 1, they got the two that are clearly weakest (I'd put Inter in the same boat as Atletico… those two are a rung below the others in Pot 1).

Tough to spot a truly brutal schedule.

Sorry I just meant drawing Atletico is a "dream." But I think their draw is relatively favorable for a top 2. They did get Arsenal, but at home and that's a chance to take points off of Arsenal in the battle for top 2. Meanwhile the other favorites all have a road game at another favorite

United away could prove pretty tough but we'll see.

Excellent start

Fenerbahce manager resigns immediately after drawing their first CL game against Roma. They've won 2, lost 2 of their first 4 league games which probably didn't help but that's wild even by fickle Turkish league standards.
