Welp, it was a little nervy again but once again walking away with all 3 points. Really good fight shown from the lads in 3 of the 4 games. Lots of adversity battled so far.

It isn't until Sunday, which is good. But then there's a Carabao Cup game next Thursday, before another Sunday league match. You'd think Haaland would need to take the Cup game off with Semenyo playing striker.

We're 3 weeks in to the season and it already looks like some of these guys are going to be run in to the ground. Coming off a season where we went deep in 2 cup competitions, were competing for the PL until the final weekend, plus the World Cup over the summer.

If Doku and O'Reilly are good for the derby, then a lot of this will temporarily subside.

I thought Dias was pretty poor today and has been for most of the season. He doesn't play good passes to open players and he's extremely slow tracking back on balls over the top.

Maresca needs to figure out quickly that the best CB pairing is Khusanov and Guehi. It's superior ball playing and athleticism. The wide players are far more comfortable going forward when Khusanov is back there to cover all that ground and be the first to any ball played over the top.

I am not too familiar with the other Euro leagues. Is Porto any good or was City expected to win?

Haaland is a goal scoring machine.

They are top of the Portugal league currently. Overall they probably have 4 or 5 teams that could compete well in the Premier League.

There's basically just Porto, Benfica, and Sporting Lisbon in that league, but those are all quality teams. Maybe Braga occasionally. But all those teams acquire good talent either through the academies or Portuguese players coming home later in their careers.

Porto's keeper is Portugal's number 1. Andre Silva is over the hump, but hasn't he led the German league in scoring before? They had other guys with talent. We were probably favored, but it's still a strong 3 points at their place.

Didn't realize United is playing today. Granted it's only against a terrible team and it's at home for them, but still a good rest advantage for us.

Well let's just let manuer do whatever that want.

Fernandez not at least getting a yellow is ridiculous. VAR still sucks.

After fully digesting that performance, I'm feeling really good about this new team's ability to gel and I'm loving our midfield.

Enzo and Anderson are beasts together.
Guehi is even better than I thought.

This is going to be another great season if we stay healthy and don't get worn out.

Just got caught up. What a performance after going down a man. So satisfying to be a man short and still be more than competitive. Insane job by everybody, especially the midfield for covering so much ground.

Maresca got the Ndiaye for Cherki sub spot on. Love Cherki, but he's not going to be effective down a man.

What a ridiculous red that was and to not even check for a red on Bruno was a double slap in the face. It's hard not to think something nefarious was going on there.

Just reflecting a little and it's really impressive the ways in which we've won each of the first five games of the season.

Several of the guys got to Manchester after games were being played. Younger players will get more playing time and get acclimated better in cup games.

This team isn't playing its best yet and we've been without arguably our 2nd best player in Doku.

The season is definitely living up to the preseason excitement and Maresca appears to be a home run hire.

All the crying all over media with the league saying they messed up the VAR call. Oh well, they were happy to live with the bad Red card call, I'm happy to live with this one.

Really long international break coming up after this week, then we go to Anfield and have PSG at home in the UCL. just need to scrap and claw for 3 points against Sunderland and I don't really care about the domestic cups for this season.

Doku is supposed to be back soon, but I don't expect to see him this week. The interesting thing is that Belgium has 4 tough Nations League matches over the international break against Italy, Turkey, and France x2.

Surely we can ask them not to play Doku. He needs to be completely healthy for October 11 against Liverpool. We need him desperately then we'll really start clicking.
